A POEM...FOR SOMEONE VERY SPECIAL

I have a small notebook where I usually wrote quotes and sayings that I like. Everytime I read a good one, I write it down immediately. As I was looking for some nice sayings, I was able to find a poem that I wrote four years ago. This was the time, that I was still in the Philippines and was waiting for my visa going to Germany. I even don't have a title for it. I love writing poems too and making quotes of my own. I want to share it with you now. This is dedicated to my one and only understanding, supportive and ever-loving best friend, my beloved husband...here it is!!! Now I am giving below it's title.

FOR MY SPECIAL SOMEONE

Kind gentleman, that's who you are.
Who always listen when I'm despair,
Who is always there in time of sorrow and laughter..
And I thanked God for being there.

Loving you is all that I wanted.
With all my heart, soul and mind
You're all that I loved and even trusted,
Hope it will last and we'll never be apart.

After sometimes of waiting too long.
I know we will be together..
Spending and sharing life forever..
I'm sure you're my beloved one and dear.

Unusual things happened since I met you.
You paint my world and give color too..
You're the song that I sing..
I know and feel you're my everything.

So now I'm missing you.
Sometimes I don't know what to do..
But I know and believe that someday..
Only God will make for us the way.

My Euro Journal....Part 1

I am giving this particular title, "My Euro Journal" to update my friends, relatives and family of my daily activities and experiences. These might include my thoughts, opinions and ideas of some things or all of the things that is happening to me and my surroundings in a day to day basis. I will try my best to write and share to all of you my daily activities here in Europe. Thus, I am giving the above name or title "My Euro Journal".

I had to wake up early today to go shopping of the daily foods and goods we basically need at home. As usual, I need a cup of tee for wake up. I get ready then..took shower, brushed my teeth, dressed-up and put a little bit make-up. I am happy that I already had my own driver's license since more than two years ago. Here in Germany, it is really an advantage if you drive a car especially if you live in a small "Dorf" or a village. Unless maybe if you live in the city, where it provides a lot of public transportation like buses, U-bahn (underground train), S-bahn, trains and a lot more. Of course there are buses here too, but not often as in the city.

I usually go shopping for food and groceries in discounts shop like Netto, Aldi, Penny, Norma, Lidl, etc. I don't usually go to the supermarkets since the prices are really higher compared to discounts stores. I only go to supermarkets if the stuff I need can't be found in discounts stores. I was amazed because almost prices of the goods I usually buy are getting more expensive now. These are especially the prices of milk, cheese, bread, yogurt, chocolates and a lot more..Well, this is inflation again where prices of goods and commodities are getting higher. It's not only that, gasoline prices are really very high now compared to last year. My car consumed Super unleaded and today it cost 1.419 Euro per litre.

The only bad thing is that the salary is not getting higher. This really sounds frustrating. So I guess, I have to make a very good budgeting with regards to Income versus Expense matter. I even told my husband to ask his employer to increase his salary. He just laughed at me. He said, there are usually increases every year but it won't compensate for the increase of the commodities. I believed, one thing we could do is to tighten a bit our belt and only buy all the basic things that we need. As for me, I should already avoid impulse buying which I really do sometimes. Besides that we really all have the things that we all basically need.

So to all housewives and women who usually go shopping, be a little bit wiser now because I believed that inflation only don't happen in Germany but to almost countries of the world. I have to go now...since I have to continue my scrapbook which is already sitting here for quite some days now....Bye bye for now...see you again tomorrow!!!

Baby at Age 64.....

Well, before I forgot, I want to continue this woman in my previous Blog who gave birth at the age of 64. While cooking yesterday afternoon, I heard over the radio, Antenne Bayern that the baby is a healthy one. It is a baby girl. This woman, I guess is the oldest woman who gave birth in the 20th century. The other woman from Spain also gave birth at the age of 50 plus (don't exactly remember now if she is 54 or 59)..But anyway, my opinion is that, things like these might be caused by our very modern technology and science. Or is it a miracle?? Since this woman and his husband are really longing for a child long time ago. Now, finally it is wish and dream came true.

In Germany, it is verboten (means forbidden) in law, that a woman will be injected by sperms of another man except only from her husband. That's the reason why, the couple did it outside of Germany. So I just hope that at this age the couple can still take care of their new born baby girl. Radio Antenne Bayern also said that the couple already adopted two children before.

It is just very amazing to hear news like this. I am wishing luck to the couple for the blessing they have. Lastly, I still don't lose hope of having a baby in the future. I believed, I am still not too old of having one.

Holy Fence

There once was a little boy who had a bad temper. His Father gave him a bag of nails and told him that every time he lost his temper, he must hammer a nail into the back of the fence. The first day the boy had driven 37 nails into the fence. Over the next few weeks, as he learned to control his anger, the number of nails hammered daily gradually dwindled down. He discovered it was easier to hold his temper than to drive those nails into the fence. Finally the day came when the boy didn't lose his temper at all. He told his father about it and the father suggested that the boy now pull out one nail for each day that he was able to hold his temper.

The days passed and the young boy was finally able to tell his father that all the nails were gone. The father took his son by the hand and led him to the fence. He said, "You have done well, my son, but look at the holes in the fence. The fence will never be the same. WHEN YOU SAY THINGS IN ANGER, THEY LEAVE A SCAR JUST LIKE THIS ONE. You can put a knife in a man and draw it out. It won't matter how many times you say I'm sorry, THE WOUND IS STILL THERE. A verbal wound is as bad as a physical one.

Friends are very rare jewels, indeed. They make you smile and encourage you to succeed. They lend an ear, they share words of praise and they always want to open their hearts to us."

A Visit from a Friend

As I finished my lunch today, my only neighbour (British spelling... American is without u) friend visited me. Her name is Lily and she's of course with her lovely daughter, Jasmine. I was just surprised that at this rainy afternoon, they came to our house. That was good then. I talked with her some things. We got some fun. They stayed for more than one hour and I also enjoyed it especially the smart Jasmine. She is just three years old but sometimes she talks like a big girl already. I showed Lily some photos from the thanksgiving. This is already the second time that she invited us to share the thanksgiving dinner. Thanks a lot Lily..Hopefully next year again. I also showed to her some pictures from the Philippines especially from my home paradise.

Lily was in a hurry to go home since she still have to cook for dinner. Jasmine still don't want to. Until I told her that we go now and she will be left alone in the room...I guess she is afraid being alone so she hurried going with us too. She even don't want to go out to the door without me. So, I told her that I will just get my jacket, since it's really very windy and cold outside and will just follow them. Anyway, that's only an alibi so she will go with her Momma. I also would like to go but I can't since I also have to cook for dinner...Me and Lily agreed to meet on Thursday to cook Filipino food to their house. See you then Lily...Thanks for passing by today!!

LiFe's LiTtLe InsTrUcTiOnS ......PaRt 2

Well.. to all my friends out there, this is the continuation of "life's little instruction"...

....When someone ask you a question you don't want to answer, smile and ask, "Why do you want to know?"..
....Don't admire people for their wealth but for the creative and generous ways they put it to use.
....Never betray a confidence.
....Never claim a victory prematurely.
....Never leave the kitchen when some thing's boiling on the stove.
....Say "bless you" when you hear someone sneeze.
....Remember the three Rs: Respect for self; Respect for others; Responsibility for your actions.
....When you lose, don't lose the lesson.
....Don't overlook life's small joys while searching for the big ones.
....Don't let a little dispute injure a great friendship.
....Meet regularly with someone who holds vastly different views than you.
....Give people more than they expect and do it cheerfully.

These are only some for today...hope to see you again next time..Keep on reading!!
