Can't Wait for Spring and Do Gardening!

Hello lovely people in this universe! How have you been doing out there? I hope everything is doing great especially during the past two months of 2016. So far, I can't complain for now.  I seldom complain anyway because I  believed  life has been good to me,  living simply and happily. Thanks to my family and friends for all their inspirations. Above all, thanks be to God for everything!

Lovely yellow tulips in the backyard during spring season.

I am just  happy because I cannot wait for my favorite time of the year, the spring season. Last weekend,  when I visited the backyard, I found out that the first spring flowers like crocus are slowly blooming. Sad to say, it snowed last Monday and I hope  that they are not frozen. I need to see them again this weekend.

Various kinds of tulips in our backyard.  I am getting excited to see them again.

Last Tuesday, it was not snowing and today  the weather was friendlier. There was sunshine and  everytime when the sun is shining,  I felt happiness in between. I grew up in the tropics and there is always sunshine everyday.

I am getting excited for the spring time. I can't wait to do some gardening and see the first spring flowers like tulips, narcissus, crocus, hyacinths and daffodils.

For now, let me share some  spring flowers to brighten your day. Cheers and all the best for the month  of March.  Take care folks!

Plants and Flowers in the Garden Needs Rain

Hello folks! How's everyone doing? I hope you are having a wonderful start of the seventh month of the year.  So far, so good for me and I am grateful about it.  There is only one thing I wish to pour down and it is rain.
Pink Roses look  great after the rain last month.  It was still not so hot during the first week up to the third  week of June.

The weather is really hot this week. It seems that Sahara loves to visit us and gives us  hot summer.  Temperature ranges  up to 39 degree Celsius  the past days in and around our place. I am really sad everytime I see some plants and flowers dying in the backyard.

Red Dianthus in the garden. I have other colors  also like pink and white.

I am watering it everyday but due to the tremendous heat, some plants are getting bad and are dying. The flowers that are currently blooming are also getting dry so fast. Usually some flowers takes for a week to remain in bloom but this heat  really is shorting its blooming for some days only.

Yellow Lilium flowers. Some are gone now.

I hope rain will pour soon to keep the  garden alive and kicking again.  Watering it everyday will not equal the amount of  water that is coming from the  rain. I am crossing my fingers..so help me God and send your rain please!

I wish everyone a wonderful week ahead and a great month of July. Take care folks and have a good time!

Spring Time is Gardening Time

Hey folks! How are things going on in there! I just look at the calendar and it seems that the month of March is almost over.  Yes, three more days to go and I am ready to face another month of the year. I can't wait for the weather to really be nice and friendly.  Today was  a gloomy and rainy weather.  It was raining the entire day and outside is  still  cold.  This is typical spring weather since Mother Nature needs rain and more rain.

I can't  wait to see these tulips in my garden again.
Since it is spring season now, I can't wait to hit the garden again and do some clean-up and gardening. Some flowers are  already blooming  in our garden especially the crocus.  The tulips are slowly growing too. In two or three weeks, I believed they will be in full bloom.

Lovely tulips from last year's spring.

Spring  is one of my favorite seasons of the year.  This season refers to the ideas of rebirth, resurrection and  regrowth.  This is the time to see lives and nature growing again. The plants and the trees start to bear flowers, leaves and branches. It is simply a season to rejoice for a new life and beginnings.

I can't wait  to see more flowers and green environment so soon again. This is the reason why  I so love spring  season. Most of all spring time is gardening time!

I wish everyone a wonderful spring season! Cheers and take care everyone!

Who tell the Crocus to Come back on Spring Time

The weather was just lovely today!  It was not so cold and the sun was shining.  I  woke-up quite late this morning. For some reasons, I don't want to  come out from my warm bed.  I was actually awake at around 7:00 in the morning but decided to go back to sleep again.

After taking my brunch, I decided to go out and went to our garden.  I was so happy seeing the first spring flowers.
Such a lovely and amazing beauty of nature..Crocuses or croci are blossoming now in our garden. Look a crocus visited by a bumble bee. I felt  good when  I was looking at this priceless creatures this noon time.

You might be wondering who is always telling the crocus or croci to blossom every spring time?  This is indeed a miracle done by up  above! I always admire the beauty of nature when seeing things like these.  They are like balsam to my soul and spirit. This is also the reason why I love garden works.

I also found out that  other plants such as tulips are slowly growing.  The leaves of the roses, hyacinth, spring roses and other flowers are  also slowly sprouting.  I can't wait to see everything blossoming in our garden.

Here is a brief description of crocus;

The cup-shaped, solitary, salverform flower tapers off into a narrow tube. Their colors vary enormously, although lilac, mauve, yellow, and white are predominant. The grass-like, ensiform leaf  shows generally a white central stripe along the leaf axis. The leaf margin is entire. Crocuses typically have three stamens.

Blue Sky and the Inspiring Words

"Today, don't think of saying any unkind word, think of the people who can't speak.
Don't complain about the food you eat, some have nothing.
Don't complain about life, many die young.
When you're tired of your job, think of the jobless, the disabled and those who wish they had yours.
When sad thoughts seem to put you down, paint a smile on your face and thank God you're alive and still around.
Life is a gift.
Live it well."

Cacti in Regensburger Dultfest

Dultfest is a festival in Regensburg held twice every year in this city. Maidult is celebrated every month of May and Herbsdult is sometime in September. One thing I love during the Herbsdult in Regensburg is that, you can see a lot of kiosks selling anything from clothing to food, kitchenwares, books, etcetera..

During our visit last 2009, there was this man that sells cacti. I want to buy some but we don't have a place anymore inside the house. Besides I already have some kinds of it.

Beautiful Lilies in our Garden

We did some changes in our garden since April. I believed it looks better now than before. It is still not done and I hope before summer ends, everything will already be in order. I have a lot of kinds of flowers in our garden. One of it are the lilies. Some are dying now but still few are left. This afternoon I made some photos again but still did not uploaded it yet. I wish to share more images once I am done uploading.

I love gardening and simply love flowers! this was taken last year from our garden.

Flower Markets Worth To Visit in Europe

If you love flowers just like me, for sure you also love visiting flower markets. Here are some of the most interesting flower markets to visit in Europe.

1) Neuenheimer Marketplatz in Heidelberg, Germany

This flower market is nestled in Neuenheim, just across the river from Heidelberg. The market is only open twice a week, on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Visitors will want to be at the market soon after it opens at 7 a.m., to get the best selection of flowers. Cameras and picture taking is encouraged, as growers display their wares with beaming pride.

2) Columbia Road Flower Market in London

Columbia Road is a world famous flower market in London. It is open just one day a week, on Sunday mornings and early afternoons. The narrow Victorian street becomes a bustling market of traders, with the shops selling homewares, garden candles and unique, quirky handmade welcome mats. Visitors will want to meander from cart to cart and seek the best deals, before deciding upon final purchases. Be sure to bring a camera along, to capture the dazzling beauty of the fresh flowers that line the street.

3) The Floating Flower Market in Amsterdam

Amsterdam is home to the only floating flower market in the world! It ranks amongst the top must see markets in all of Europe. The floating flower market is located on the Singel Canal and stalls are located in houseboats along the canal. Known for the wide variety of bulbs, the floating market offers tulips and a plethora of other bulbs. The market ships all over the world, allowing visitors to enjoy the beauty all year round.

4) Flower Market on the Seine in Paris

The oldest flower market in Paris is located in the shadow of Notre Dame and Saint Chappelle, the famous stained glass chapel. The market lines both sides of the narrow street, and offers a profuse selection of cut flowers, greenery, and potted plants. The ornamental plants hang from baskets and are a blaze of colors and textured foliage. There is no lack of flowers and plant material that can be used to enhance a patio, balcony, or side garden. Cut flowers can be taken back to a place of lodging and enjoyed for the duration of the stay in Paris.

Our backyard also looks like a flower market. My friend who visited us last month told me that our garden is like a flower shop because you can see a lot of flowers around, flower pots and garden decors are scattered everywhere. I am glad that the single garden door we ordered last time was already delivered. I am hoping for our garden terrace to be finished soon.

Four Seasons In A Day

Four Seasons In A Day, this is how I call it when we have a crazy weather in a day....rain... sunshine...rain...shine..rain...shine...rain...shine....I can't exactly remember who many times it did happened today. I am very sure that it happened more than five times. This kind of weather in Germany sometimes drives me crazy. You can't do anything outside because it's wet and cold. The worst thing is, I get headache when the weather is like this. I even turned on the heater until now because it gets cold inside the house. The only creatures that are happy during this weather are the plants and flowers in our garden. I see them growing good everyday. Their blooms make my heart smiling. Despite this four seasons weather in a day, some creatures are happy. I guess I'm happy too! Have a lovely week ahead!

Goodbye May, Hello June

The month of May is finally over. I hope that you all had a good month of May. The last day of May was rainy in our place in Bavaria, Germany. There was a strong rain accompanied with strong wind, lightnings and thunders. It was so far the strongest rain I experienced since living in this country. I guess some people were scared during that natural phenomenon. I heard over the radio that it brought some damages in the nearby places.

The sixth month of the year is finally here. The first day of June was quite rainy and cloudy almost the whole day in our place. I never saw sunshine today compared to the past days in May. The rain yesterday and today made our garden happy. I can almost see the plants and the flowers smiling in our garden..wink!

Don't you know that the month of June was named after the Roman goddess Juno? She is the wife of Jupiter, equivalent to the Greek goddess Hera. June is also known as the month of marriages. Some considered it a good luck to get married during this month.

If you are born in June, your horoscope is Cancer and your birthstones are the pearl, the Moonstone (gemstone), and the Alexandrite which means health and longevity. Its birth flowers are the honeysuckle and the rose.

I wish everyone a good start and overall a great month of June.

Here is my yellow rose for all birthday celebrants for the month of June. This is one of the roses in our garden. All the best to all of you!

Garden Accessories

It is finally garden time! It is also time to shop for garden accessories. I guess not for me because I already have a lot of stuffs to decorate in our garden. I am ready to put my garden statues, built the pavilion, flower pots, wind chimes and some animal figures but I just can't do it. The problem is, our garden is in chaos at the moment. We are on the process of making a terrace beside our house and most parts of my garden were transferred. It means that most of my plants were also replanted. It cost a lot of hard work for me and especially for hubby but I am quite sure when it is finish, we can have a little paradise in our garden.

these were some of the flowers in our garden. taken from summer 2010.

I just hope that we can finish everything before the high season of summer comes. I spent almost two hours this afternoon working in our garden. I always love it!

Congratulations to All Mothers Out There!

At work, you think of the children you have left at home.
At home, you think of the work you've left unfinished.

Such a struggle is unleashed within yourself.

Your heart is rent.

May is Finally Here

Happy Monday everyone! Here we are again on the first week of another month. The fifth month of the year is finally here. This month has a length of 31 days. If you live in the Southern Hemisphere part of the globe, you are currently having an Autumn season. I currently live in Europe which is located in Northern Hemisphere, therefore, we are currently having a spring season. This is one of my favorite time in the year, where most flowers start to bloom.

I still have some tulips blooming in our garden but most of it are dying now. Don't you know that the month of May has been named for the Greek goddess Maia, who was identified with the Roman era goddess of fertility, Bona Dea, whose festival was held in May? If you were born in the month of May, your birthstone is the emerald which means love or success. Its birth flower is the Crataegus monogyna and the Lily of the Valley. It is quite interesting to know some things about this month.

Here some of tulips from our garden taken last month. Now, they are almost gone. I will see them again next year.

In all I do and say,
And grant me grace and power

The Tulips and the Nice Quote

So lift up your heart to the heavens;
There's a loving and kind Father there
Who offers release and comfort and peace
In the silent communion of prayer.

I wish it's tulip time now. Happy weekend everyone! Keep warm especially to all friends in winter wonderlands.

True Friendship

Friendship is such a wonderful gift
and it is always a nice feeling
when we have good friends around.
Friendship does not mean that we need to talk everyday
but once in awhile it is always good
to hear thoughtful words from a friend.
Friendship does not mean
that we have to see each other everyday
but it is always nice to reminisce
some memorable moments
that we spent with friends.
I am very thankful that I have good
and yes, great friends around!
I felt truly blessed.
Thank you so much to all friends
who are always true and loyal.

Below is a rose that I am giving to all my friends out there. This is a rose from our garden flourished with love and care just for you. This was taken last summer time 2010. The saying below also came out to my mind some minutes ago. I just can't stop sharing it here.

"Friendship is not a competition.
It is a matter of give and take relation".

-Ruby Benz

I love roses especially from our garden!
