Sad and Shocking Story

I just feel so sad today after reading in the newspaper of a young boy who committed suicide. Imagine at the age of thirteen, he committed suicide. He was found inside his closet and believed to hang himself. I knew it since last Friday because my husband told me about it. I had seen this boy whom I will call for short Andre two years ago in the German American Volksfest here in Hohenfels. . And I always see his picture everytime I visit my dentist. Yes this boy was the son of my dentist. He got a very kind and wonderful father and I believed a wonderful family too. I really can't imagine how he did that or what are the reasons why he ended his life. But whatever reasons why he did that, I just pray for the repose of his soul and may he rest in peace and join our Creator now.

He is young, very good looking boy, and helpful according to his classmates and schoolmate. Here is a short message from his friends and classmates according to a German Newspaper in our place.

Wir vermissen unseren guten Freund
Andre
der uns immer zum Lachen brachte und sehr hilfsbereit war.
Auch wenn Dein Platz in unserer Klasse leer bleibt,
wirst Du immer in unserem Herzen sein!

Deine Freunden and Klassenkameraden

I will try to translate it in English so that you can understand it better. here it is;

We miss our good friend
Andre
who always bring laughter and was also very helpful.
Even when your seat in our class is empty now,
you will always be in our hearts.

From your friends and classmates

Before I write this post, I was watching in Frontal 21, a ZDF German TV program that featured tonight about medicine or tablets for anti-depression but give side effects such as risk to suicide. Some tablets that are featured are Prozac and Strattera which are manufactured by Lilly from the United States and Zoloft from Pfizer. The Strattera which are taken by 3.5 million children around the world including Germany. Below are the following URLs of the ZDF TV program which I watched tonight in the television and also search it in the interent. This is in German and I suggest that you better search these tablets in Google or yahoo or whatever search engines, so that you will know exactly what are its side effects.

http://frontal21.zdf.de/ZDFde/inhalt/20/0,1872,7488820,00.html
http://frontal21.zdf.de/ZDFde/inhalt/0/0,1872,7488768,00.html?dr=1

I am just sharing this to all of you for you to be aware of the side effects of these products. Before you take these tablets, please think of it a thousand times. I just don't exactly know if Andre had taken one kind of these medicines before. I hope not! because I just really can't believe that this happened to him.

I know life is not perfect. There is always ups and downs. I was there. I know how it feels that sometimes you get really confuse why such bad things happened. As for me, I just keep on asking for help from Him though prayer. I know that without him this world is nothing. Don't lose hope! Keep praying! ..that is only our best defense! Always remember, No Matter what, this world is still a beautiful world to live in...Life is still beautiful!!

Lastly I would like to extend my deepest condolence to Andre's family. Wherever he is now, I hope and pray that he rest now in peace with the Lord.

7 Qualities of a Good Leader

I am just sharing this for today. I am just so tired today having my monthly visitor. Just let me wish you a great evening!! Read this very good words below!!

7 Qualities of a Good Leader
=============================

1. A good head to be able to evaluate the quality of ideas and
suggestions presented to him.

2. A good heart to be able to be compassionate and fair with the
people.

3. A good spirit to be able to hear the voice of God. Some paths
God will lead you down don't make head and heart sense at the
time.

4. A good eye to be able to see things other people cannot.

5. A good tongue to be able to communicate the vision to the
people and motivate them to follow.

6. A good hand to be able to do the things that need to be
done. Knowing the right way is not the same as doing it.

7. A good foot to set an example for the people. A minor flaw
can outshine a major mission in the eyes of small minds.

Most Important Law in Germany

I just want to share one of the most important Law in Germany. I believed this is good to share especially to those persons who live in Germany whether you are a German citizen or not. In my own opinion, as long as you live in this country, you must also respect and follow the German Laws especially the basic ones.

As I made my German Oath of Citizenship, I was given a Book entitled "Grundgesetz für die Bundesrepublik Deutschland". This means in English "The Basic Law of the Federal Republic of Germany".
I am specifically sharing below Basic Right which is stated in page 111 of this Book.

The first basic law of Germany is this;

I. DIE GRUNDRECHTE

Artikel 1

(1) Die Würde des Menschen ist unantastbar. Sie zu achten und zu schützen ist Verpflichtung aller staatlichen Gewalt.

Below is the translation of this right in English;

I. Basic Rights

Article 1 [Human dignity]

(1) Human dignity shall be inviolable. To respect and protect it shall be the duty of all state authority.

I believed this law is very clear stating that we must respect the honour and dignity of a person. Not doing so will violate the above basic law. I believed, it is not only Germany who have this kind of law but all countries around the world who believed in the rights and protection of its people. Even Philippines have the same basic law.

For those who cannot stop their tongues in telling other people's life and affair especially by not telling the truth and does damages the personality of a certain person, You don't have the right to do that especially if you really don't know that person. "makakarma din kayo or baka dumating na nga ang karma sa inyo". You don't have the right to destroy other people's life.

So please "LEARN TO HOLD YOUR TONGUE ABOUT THE LIFE AND AFFAIR OF OTHERS UNLESS YOUR DUTY OBLIGE YOU TO SPEAK". Pero kung magtsitsismis ka naman , please naman yung totoo at purong katotohanan... Huwag yung kasinungalingan!!!

By legal means, the law will oblige you to speak for the Truth. So just be ready to depend for the Truth and don't tell lies!! Truth hurts but it is the only means to set us free. I am not afraid to tell the Truth and I will defend for it especially if my own honour and reputation is at risk. "Hindi ko talaga yan mapapalampas"

"THE BEST DEFENSE IS SIMPLY TRUTH"....I remember this saying that I copied now from one of my friend's website...sorry friend but I need this saying now..leave a message in your tag board to ask for permission!!! thanks!!

I hope what I share here now will serve as a lesson to all especially to those people who don't can hold their tongues. "Kung wala man kayong masabing maganda, itikom na lang ninyo ang mga bunganga nyo lalo't ang sinasabi nyo ay pawang kasinungalingan lang!!!! Pahabol pa, bago kayo magsalita ng kung ano-ano sa ibang tao, tingnan nyo muna ang sarili nyo!!! Perpekto ba kayo????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

have a nice evening to all!!

Be Careful What You Ask For!

A married couple, both 60 years old, were celebrating their 35th
anniversary.

A fairy appeared to congratulate them and grant them each one
wish.

The wife wanted to travel around the world.

The fairy waved her wand and the wife had tickets in her hand
for a world cruise.

Next, the fairy asked the husband what he wanted.

He said, "I wish I had a wife 30 years younger than me."

So, the fairy picked up her wand and obliged.

The husband was immediately 90.

Ways to Stress Reduce!!!

An Angel says, 'Never borrow from the future. If you worry about what may happen tomorrow and it doesn't happen, you have worried in vain. Even if it does happen, you have to worry twice.'
1. Pray
2. Go to bed on time.
3. Get up on time so you can start the day unrushed.
4. Say No to projects that won't fit into your time schedule, or that will compromise your mental health.
5. Delegate tasks to capable others.
6. Simplify and unclutter your life.
7. Less is more. (Although one is often not enough, two are often too many.)
8. Allow extra time to do things and to get to places.
9. Pace yourself. Spread out big changes and difficult projects over time; don't lump the hard things all together.
10. Take one day at a time.
11. Separate worries from concerns . If a situation is a concern, find out what God would have you do and let go of the anxiety . If you can't do anything about a situation, forget it.
12. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
13. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.
14. K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut). This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
15. Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
16. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
17. Get enough rest.
18. Eat right.
19 Get organized so everything has its place.
20. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.
21. Write down thoughts and inspirations.
22. Every day, find time to be alone.
23. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until it's time to go to bed to try and pray.
24. Make friends with Godly people.
25. Keep a folder of favorite scriptures on hand.
26. Remember that the shortest bridge between despair and hope is often a good 'Thank you Jesus.'
27. Laugh.
28. Laugh some more!
29. Take your work seriously, but not yourself at all.
30. Develop a forgiving attitude (most people are doing the best they can).
31. Be kind to unkind people (they probably need it the most).
32. Sit on your ego.
33 Talk less; listen more.
34. Slow down.
35. Remind yourself that you are not the general manager of the universe.
36 . Every night before bed, think of one thing you're grateful for that you've never been grateful for before. GOD HAS A WAY OF TURNING THINGS AROUND FOR YOU.
'If God is for us, who can be against us?'
(Romans 8:31)
My instructions were to send this to
four people that I wanted God to bless and I picked you. I decided to send it to more than four, because I didn't want to limit blessings.
SEND IT FORWARD PLEASE,
blogger friends please grab it!!!

Annoying Pop-ups

I was annoyed and shocked (galagot pa jud) yesterday coz a lot of pop-ups were coming up to my computer everytime I open a new window or visit some blogs!! I was even annoyed that when I opened blogger.com and signed-in, I was redirected to a new advert window..I thought my computer was already attacked by virus or already got hacked!! (Binuang kaayo..makalagot..hehehe)..I heard from some bloggers that they also have the same problem.

The hacker used the Feedjit script in his/her blog as what my sweet friend sistah Twinks said in her blog. The blog genius Carlota also told me to check my HTML codes in my blogs. But anyway, I was not able to do it besides that I just read her email response now..sorry dear friend but thanks for the info..your really a genius. Thanks a lot guys for your never ending support and infos.. really appreciated it!!..(abi pa jud nako mao ning mga kanahan nga mu-add ra sa ako linker unya di mubalos ug add nako..makalagot pud..hehehe)

And yesterday, I already removed my linker/linkmeup in my 3 blogs ; My Daily Nourishment, Euroangel Graffiti and The WorldWideWeb Addict because almost blogs there did not reciprocate by also adding mine to their blogs.

I am on the process of working on my linker here. If I found out that a lot also did not reciprocate, I might ended up removing this too..So check it out guys if you add your links here or planning to add it..Don't bother to add if you don't reciprocate!!!

If you want to be included in my normal links, just let me know and I would be happy to do so ..but please don't forget to add me too..If it happens that I forgot to add you, please just remind me again and I will try to attend to you asap!!

Lastly, I want to extend my gratitude to everyone who keeps on visiting me here..I am really happy to see your presence here..

Wish you all a very great Sunday!!!

BlogLinks-Blogroll..Linker..Reciprocate!!

Hi everyone!! It's weekend again!!!

Yesterday, I was trying to review my linker or this so called-link me up for adding links/blogs.. I almost took my whole day, visiting blogs, leaving messages, commenting, and also request for add esp. that those who already put their link to my blog... a lot of blog hoppers just added their blog to mine but did not reciprocate.

I was just disappointed seeing that a lot did not link me up back. Did they not understand my instruction or request in my linker???? I know, just like me you are also very busy.. I understand that as it is also the same with my situation. My only request is.. let's just help each other building our blogs!!! but if you don't reciprocate, don't bother to add because you will also be deleted...or it might happen that I will block you in my site!!! Just let me know if you cannot add me asap and I understand that..

I really appreciate your visit here. I am very happy and glad to welcome and see you here in my place. For those who request to add their site in my normal link, please just let me know by leaving a message in my tagboard or simply post some comments in my post to request for addition here... But please if ever I forgot to add you as sometimes I am really very busy just like you, I would be happy if you remind me again!!!

I believed we all have the same aim or purpose why we are all doing this so called blogging. But I hope that you also understand what it means by RECIPROCITY. Now, I understand the comment of Mel, author of the Mondaymorning power and Big Bang meme , in one of my blogs saying that some people are just making tag or meme links/bloglinking to build more traffic for themselves and they only do it for their own good and not for the good of everybody who participate in the meme/bloglinking!! They just want to take advantage and don't reciprocate.
Mel, thanks a lot of that comment!! now I know and understand. Thank you too for the Big Bang meme!!

I believed I still have to understand a lot of things here in the blogworld. I am still very new and I would like to thank those people, fellow bloggers and friends who taught and imparted me some ideas, opinions, suggestions and teachings to make my blogging improve. I really appreciate it guys..!!! My apology if ever I was able to struck here some people!!!

SO PLEASE, LET'S JUST HELP EACH OTHER AND RECIPROCATE!!! LET'S MAKE THIS BLOGGING WORLD A HAPPY AND BETTER PLACE TO SHARE OUR IDEAS, TALENTS AND ABILITIES!!!! HAVE FUN BLOGGING!!!!

ENJOY YOUR WEEKEND...

Desiderata

Desiderata

Go placidly amid the noise and the haste, and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible without surrender be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly; and listen to others, even to the dull and the ignorant, they too have their story. Avoid loud and aggressive persons, they are vexations to the spirit.

–>

If you compare yourself with others, you may become vain or bitter; for always there will be greater and lesser persons than yourself. Enjoy your achievements as well as your plans. Keep interested in your own career, however humble; it is a real possession in the changing fortunes of time.

Exercise caution in your business affairs, for the world is full of trickery. But let not this blind you to what virtue there is; many persons strive for high ideals, and everywhere life is full of heroism. Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection. Neither be cynical about love; for in the face of all aridity and disenchantment it is as perennial as the grass. Take kindly the counsel of the years, gracefully surrendering the things of youth.

Nurture strength of spirit to shield you in sudden misfortune. But do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. Many fears are born of fatigue and loneliness. Beyond a wholesome discipline, be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should.

Therefore, be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be. And whatever your labors and aspirations in the noisy confusion of life, keep peace in your soul. With all its sham, drudgery and broken dreams; it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful.

Strive to be happy.

p.s. i have been searching for this..finally i found it..i just simply love the text here!!!hope you too!!

March First

march v. To proceed directly and purposefully. To progress
steadily onward; advance. To be arranged in an orderly fashion
that suggests steady, rhythmical progression.

Giving advice is easy. Giving really good advice is harder.
Providing an example is hardest but is usually the most effective
way of influencing both youth and adults. After all, adults are
simply older youths who were influenced by someone's example
early in life.

Our walk or march through life is the greatest teacher that we
will provide for others. Even Paul in the Bible said,
"Follow my example, as I follow the example of Christ."
(1 Cor 11:1 NIV)

Today is the beginning of the month of March.

Perhaps today should also be the beginning of a new walk.
A walk of direction and purpose. A walk worthy to follow.

March first.

Then advise.

The Water

This story shed my tears...I seldom cry but this one just shed my tears..
it is quite a long story, but really very touching...Please read it too..
I wish everyone a nice weekend!!!!God bless us all!!

It was one of the hottest days of the dry season. We had
not seen rain in almost a month. The crops were dying.
Cows had stopped giving milk. The creeks and streams were
long gone back into the earth. It was a dry season that
would bankrupt several farmers before it was through.

Every day, my husband and his brothers would go about the
arduous process of trying to get water to the fields. Lately
this process had involved taking a truck to the local water
rendering plant and filling it up with water. But severe
rationing had cut everyone off. If we didn't see some rain
soon...we would lose everything.

It was on this day that I learned the true lesson of sharing
and witnessed the only miracle I have seen with my own eyes.
I was in the kitchen making lunch for my husband and his
brothers when I saw my six-year-old son, Billy, walking
toward the woods. He wasn't walking with the usual carefree
abandon of a youth but with a serious purpose. I could only see
his back. He was obviously walking with a great effort
...trying to be as still as possible.

Minutes after he disappeared into the woods, he came running
out again, toward the house. I went back to making sandwiches,
thinking that whatever task he had been doing was completed.
Moments later, however, he was once again walking in that
slow purposeful stride toward the woods.

This activity went on for an hour: walk carefully to the woods,
run back to the house. Finally, I couldn't take it any longer,
and I crept out of the house and followed him on his journey
(being very careful not to be seen...as he was obviously doing
important work and didn't need his Mommy checking up on him).

He was cupping both hands in front of him as he walked, being
very careful not to spill the water he held in them...maybe two
or three tablespoons were held in his tiny hands.

I sneaked close as he went into the woods. Branches and thorns
slapped his little face, but he did not try to avoid them.
He had a much higher purpose. As I leaned in to spy on him, I
saw the most amazing site. Several large deer loomed in front
of him.

Billy walked right up to them. I almost screamed for him to get
away. A huge buck with elaborate antlers was dangerously close.
But the buck did not threaten him...he didn't even move as Billy
knelt down. And I saw a tiny fawn lying on the ground,
obviously suffering from dehydration and heat exhaustion, lift
its head with great effort to lap up the water cupped in my
beautiful boy's hands.

When the water was gone, Billy jumped up to run back to the
house and I hid behind a tree. I followed him back to the house
to a spigot that we had shut off the water to.

Billy opened it all the way up and a small trickle began to
creep out. He knelt there, letting the drip slowly fill up his
makeshift "cup," as the sun beat down on his little back.

And it became clear to me. The trouble he had gotten into for
playing with the hose the week before. The lecture he had
received about the importance of not wasting water. The reason
he didn't ask me to help him.

It took almost twenty minutes for the drops to fill his hands.
When he stood up and began the trek back, I was there in front
of him. His little eyes just filled with tears.
"I'm not wasting," was all he said.

As he began his walk, I joined him...with a small pot of water
from the kitchen. I let him tend to the fawn. I stayed away.
It was his job.

I stood on the edge of the woods watching the most beautiful
heart I have ever known working so hard to save another life.
As the tears that rolled down my face began to hit the ground,
they were suddenly joined by other drops...and more drops...and
more.........

I looked up at the sky. It was as if God, Himself, was weeping
with pride.

Some will probably say that this was all just a huge
coincidence. That miracles don't really exist. That it was
bound to rain sometime. And I can't argue with that.
............I'm not going to try.

All I can say is that the rain that came that day saved our
farm...just like the actions of one little boy saved another.

This is not one of those crazy chain letters...if you don't
forward it to anyone, nothing bad will happen to you.
If you choose to forward it, you won't receive any riches in the
mail.

I don't know if anyone will read this...but I had to send it
out. To honor the memory of my beautiful Billy, who was taken
from me much too soon.... But not before showing me the true
face of God, in a little sunburned body.

EIGHT LIES OF A MOTHER

This is a very touching one...esp. to children ....to all Mothers keep up the good work!!!

This story begins when I was a child: I was born poor. Often we hadn't
enough to eat. Whenever we had some food, Mother often gave me her portion
of rice. While she was transferring her rice into my bowl, she would say
"Eat this rice, son! I'm not hungry." This was Mother's First Lie.

As I grew, Mother gave up her spare time to fish in a river near our house;
she hoped that from the fish she caught, she could gave me a little bit more
nutritious food for my growth. Once she had caught just two fish, she would
make fish soup. While I was eating the soup, mother would sit beside me and
eat the what was still left on the bone of the fish I had eaten, My heart
was touched when I saw it. Once I gave the other fish to her on my chopstick
but she immediately refused it and said, "Eat this fish, son! I don't really
like fish." This was Mother's Second Lie.

Then, in order to fund my education, Mother went to a Match Factory to
bring home some used matchboxes which she filled with fresh matchsticks.
This helped her get some money to cover our needs. One wintry night I awoke
to find Mother filling the matchboxes by candlelight. So I said, "Mother,
go to sleep; it's late: you can continue working tomorrow morning." Mother
smiled and said "Go to sleep, son! I'm not tired." This was Mother's Third
Lie .

When I had to sit my Final Examination, Mother accompanied me. After
dawn, Mother waited for me for hours in the heat of the sun. When
the bell rang, I ran to meet her.. Mother embraced me and poured me a
glass of tea that she had prepared in a thermos. The tea was not as strong
as my Mother's love, Seeing Mother covered with perspiration, I at once
gave her my glass and asked her to drink too. Mother said "Drink, son! I'm
not thirsty!". This was Mother's Fourth Lie.

After Father's death, Mother had to play the role of a single parent.

She held on to her former job; she had to fund our needs alone. Our
family's life was more complicated. We suffered from starvation. Seeing our
family's condition worsening, my kind Uncle who lived near my house came to
help us solve our problems big and small.

Our other neighbors saw that we were poverty stricken so they often advised
my mother to marry again. But Mother refused to remarry saying "I don't
need love."

This was Mother's Fifth Lie.

After I had finished my studies and gotten a job, it was time for my old
Mother to retire but she carried on going to the market every morning
just to sell a few vegetables. I kept sending her money but she was
steadfast and even sent the money back to me. She said, "I have enough
money."

That was Mother's Sixth Lie.

I continued my part-time studies for my Master's Degree. Funded by the
American Corporation for which I worked, I succeeded in my studies.

With a big jump in my salary, I decided to bring Mother to enjoy life in
America but Mother didn't want to bother her son; she said to me "I'm not
used to high living."

That was Mother's Seventh Lie

In her old age, Mother was attacked by cancer and had to be hospitalized.

Now living far across the ocean, I went home to visit Mother who was
bedridden after an operation. Mother tried to smile but I was heartbroken
because she was so thin and feeble but Mother said, "Don't cry, son! I'm
not in pain."

That was Mother's Eighth Lie.

Telling me this her eighth lie, she died.

YES, MOTHER WAS AN ANGEL!

M - O - T - H - E - R

" M " is for the million things she gave me,
" O " means only that she's growing old,
" T " is for the tears she shed to save me,
" H " is for her heart of gold,
" E " is for her eyes with love-light shining in them,
" R " means right, and right she'll always be,
As you put 'em this way, they spell "MOTHER"-- a word that means the world to me.

For those of you who are lucky to be still blessed with your Mom's presence
on Earth, this story is beautiful. For those who aren't so blessed, this is
even more beautiful.

A Chinese Blessing!!

A water bearer in China had two large pots, each
hung on the ends of a pole which he carried across his
neck.

One pot had a crack in it, while the other pot was
perfect and always delivered a full portion of water.

At the end of the long walk from the stream to the
house, the cracked pot arrived only half full.

For a full two years this went on daily, with the
bearer delivering only one and a half pots full of
water to his house.

Of course, the perfect pot was proud of its
accomplishments, perfect for which it was made. But
the poor cracked pot was ashamed of its own
imperfection, and miserable that it was able to
accomplish only half of what it had been made to do.

After 2 years of what it perceived to be a bitter
failure, it spoke to the water bearer one day by the
stream...

"I am ashamed of myself, because this crack in my side
causes water to leak out all the way back to your
house."

The bearer said to the pot, "Did you notice that
there were flowers only on your side of the path, but
not on the other pot's side?

That's because I have always known about your flaw,
and I planted flower seeds on your side of the path.
Every day while we walk back, you've watered them. For
two years I have been able to pick these beautiful
flowers to decorate the table. Without you being just
the way you are, there would not be this beauty to
grace the house."

Moral:
Each of us has our own unique flaws. We're all
cracked pots.
But it's the cracks and flaws we each have that
make our lives together so very interesting and
rewarding. You've just got to take each person
for what they are, and look for the good in them.

Warning to All Pinays Who Want to Marry Foreigners

This is a true story which is a very sad one. ..just wanted to share it with you guys esp. to all Pinays who might want to marry foreigners.... Each and everyone have its own luck. Others might have good luck but others might have bad ones. Well, I am not telling you that you are not going to marry foreigners but this serves only as a guide even a lesson for those who already experienced it. Remember everyone is unique and not all people are really bad..Besides the story of Maria is not always the same as the story of Eva....is that right???hope you agree with me..but then it's up to you to decide....anyway, this post is in relation to my previous post last Thursday..

Last week, I got a phone call from a school institution where this Filipina was taking a German language course. The secretary there already knew me and told me about the situation of this Filipina. Let me just name this Pinay, Ana...Ana is only five months here in Germany and she is three months pregnant as of now...(wow I envy her)..I've been married for almost five years but still did not get pregnant...just waiting for God's grace for me...

Ok let me continue....The secretary told me that Ana need immediate help before everything will be too late. ..I told the secretary of that school that I will be meeting Ana, which happened last Wednesday...and yup I met Ana that day and shared to me about her situation which is really very sad and depressing. She is married to this German guy who is irresponsible, lazy and even don't respect her as a person. His husband even telling her words that are so degrading.

Ana said that she is mentally tortured. She always tried her best to be a good wife but it is nothing to his husband. She do everything in the house like cleaning, washing clothes and cooking too. She said that she is treated like a maid but not a wife. If her husband don't like the food that she cooked, he let her eat everything. He even let her eat food that are almost expired....what a pitiful situation... As I look at her face while telling me about her situation, she looks pale and thin... and pregnant.

She said that her husband was not like that before as she met him in the Philippines. He was very kind to her and his family in the Philippines. They even communicated for four long years, before they got married in the Philippines. After they got married, she was able to obtain her visa to Germany after one year. That was a total of five years knowing each other.

The only bad thing that I can't really stand as she was telling her story was that, his husband wanted to abort the three months old baby in her womb so she can go back to the Philippines...Ana said that his husband is even making a contact to other Filipina at this moment, maybe as her replacement once she will be back to the Philippines. He really wanted to get rid of her. His husband even told her that once he will know that she is making contact and ask for help to anybody esp. for Pinays, he will even kill her. (Talagang nakakatindig balahibo).....such a scary and horrible story.

Those are the reasons why I really want to help her. I want to help whatever I can offer esp. saving the life of the unborn child in her womb. Last Thursday, I have to make a lot of phone calls to contact people and organizations who can offer her help. Thanks God that everything went ok. I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to those people who helped her.

Life is So Short

I woke up yesterday morning having something in my mind. I got some words that I wanted to write. It just suddenly came out of my mind. This words turned into writing a poem yesterday morning. I love composing poems, even writing my own sayings or quotations that serve as a lesson especially if something happens in my life that worthy of making as a reminder or instruction that a certain bad experience won't happen again.

I have not written it here in my blog yesterday because I was still thinking of its title. Finally today, I got a title for it...here it is....

LIFE IS SO SHORT...

Life is so beautiful.
Life is so wonderful.
Don't give up on it.
It's the greatest gift of all.

Too many trials and problems.
Too many predicaments.
But in the course of time.
It shall be put to end.

Life maybe short or long.
For everyone who comes along.
In this complicated world.
Where all people belong.

Whatever you think and do.
Enjoy life to the fullest.
Living its peak to the highest.
So in the end, you obtain happiness.

Talking and Listening

This story from Kyregma just touched me. This is regarding talking and listening. This always happens in our daily life. We utter thousands of words everyday. Everyday we talk and talk, but my question is??Are we also listening???

I might not be a good listener but I tried my best to listen to somebody who is talking to me, especially if that somebody have some good thoughts, ideas, opinions or informations which I can be used. I admit, I also I argue especially if the things or matter which I believed and knew is true and reliable and worthy of arguing.

I can respect other persons' opinions, ideas or beliefs even if it doesn't confirm with what is right and correct. Besides that's how he/she believed in it. Honestly speaking, the only thing I don't like is when you are sharing or giving the right opinion or advise to a person esp. based on your experience and still that person argued and even don't believe on you. It's really quite frustrating especially if you hear the same story again and the person seems don't want to listen.

Some people can be good talkers but not good listeners. Some can be good listeners but not good talkers. Some can be both. Which one you belong too???

Here is the story below, hope we can get some lessons from it. I already have some. How about you???

IN PROPORTioN

He also told them, “Take care what you hear. The measure with which you measure will be measured out to you, and still more will be given to you...” – Mark 4:24

I have a friend named Danny. When he talks, people listen. Once he steps up to the podium, people are suddenly silent. He has this presence and personality that makes you want to hear what he’s going to say. He’s also very humble, and I believe He’s truly anointed. He’s a fantastic leader. I believed these were the reasons why people responded to him. But his theory was much simpler.

I told him once, “Bro, when you talk, people listen.” He answered, “I believe it’s because I also listen when people talk. It comes back to you.”

Basic principle. What you give, you receive in the same measure. What I realized then and there was that, too often, I myself do not give my full attention when someone is speaking. I was convicted, especially after recalling all the times when I felt people didn’t listen to me. And that’s happened a lot.

It’s the same with time and effort. What we put into our relationships is what we will receive. I’ve failed occasionally in this area as well. But I know that there’s always hope for improvement.

My resolution? Give more.

REFLECTION:
Are you getting little? How much do you give?

Lord, You gave all of Yourself. Help me to be more generous.

All of Us Are in Debt

I want to thank all the emails I received everyday especially those that are very informative and useful in my daily living. Below is one example of it. Hope you guys will also get a lesson from it. Enjoy reading to this beautiful essay.

All of Us Are in Debt

Albert Einstein said, "A hundred times every day, I remind myself that my inner and outer life are based on the labors of other men living and dead, and that I must exert myself in order to give in the same measure as I have received." As you think about what Einstein said, you will come to realize the completely unselfish wisdom of those words. First, we're indebted to our parents because they were responsible for bringing us into the world. Next, we are indebted to the doctors, nurses, aides, orderlies and other hospital personnel for the part they played in making our arrivals safe and healthy ones.

We're indebted to the educational structure where we learned reading, writing and arithmetic, which are critical to our lives. It's sobering to realize that yes, somebody did have to teach Albert Einstein that two plus two equals four.

We are in debt to all the pastors, priests and rabbis who taught us the essence of life by instructing us in those character qualities that are important to us, regardless of our chosen fields of endeavor -- athletics, medicine, education, business or government.

We certainly owe a debt to those people whose messages have been encouraging and positive, as well as informative and instructional. We are deeply in debt to those public servants who committed their lives to service through appointed or elected offices in this great land of ours. That includes the postal worker who brings the mail, the pressmen and reporters who are responsible for putting these words in print and the workers who build the highways upon which we move from one location to another.

The list is endless -- which brings us back to Einstein and his quote. We do have a heavy debt, and one way to repay that debt is to regularly express thanks and gratitude to the men and women who make our lives worth living. Think about it. Thank a lot of people.

Bible Readings

Wait on the LORD

You, LORD, are the light
that keeps me safe.

I am not afraid of anyone.
You protect me,
and I have no fears.

Teach me to follow, LORD,
and lead me on the right path
because of my enemies.

Don't let them do to me
what they want.

People tell lies about me
and make terrible threats,
but I know I will live
to see how kind you are.

Trust the LORD!
Be brave and strong
and trust the LORD.

Psalm 27:1, 11-14 CEV

A Life Pleasing to God

For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking, but of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Spirit, because anyone who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God and approved by men. Let us therefore make every effort to do what leads to peace and to mutual edification.
