I Love My Dolce & Gabbana from KaDeWe

I really did not plan to go shopping when I had a trip to Berlin last month. Since I had the chance to go around KeDeWe, one of the famous department store in Berlin, I ended up shopping. Actually they had a winter sale that time and most of their branded items are on sale. I had a good deal with a Dolce & Gabbana bag. I love the bag because it is perfect for a traveler like me. I can put all the stuffs that I need when traveling. It cost me a little fortune but I am happy and contented with it.

Visit to the Colosseum in Rome, Italy

I once visited Rome in Italy. Me and my friend Nonna had a great time seeing the amazing wonders of architecture in Rome last summer 2010. One of the sights we visited was the Colosseum, an Amphitheater in this city.

The Colosseum's original Latin name was Amphitheatrum Flavium, often anglicized as Flavian Amphitheater. The building was constructed by emperors of the Flavian dynasty, hence its original name, after the reign of Emperor Nero.

Watching the Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas

It is always nice to remember a beautiful place we visited in the past. It is more nicer when we have some photographs taken during our trip or visit. These travel images are keeping us to always remember and look back those times. That is always the reason why I always have a camera in my bag. lol!

I have here an image taken during my vacation in Las Vegas. One of the shows that I love to watch is the dancing fountain in front of Bellagio. Don't you know that this fountain is estimated to cost around $75 million to build. I was amazed by it. It is also built with network of pipes with more than 1,200 nozzles that make it possible to stage fountain displays coordinated with more than 4,500 lights. Never forget to watch this free show once you visit Las Vegas.

I am also signing-off earlier tonight. I need to browse savoy house lighting before signing-off. I also need to wake-up tomorrow very early for a day trip to Neuschwanstein Castle with friends. Thanks in advance for the ride.

somebody's striking a pose in front of the Fountains of Bellagio

The Fountains of Bellagio is a vast, choreographed water feature with performances set to light and music. (See musical fountain.) The performances take place in front of the Bellagio hotel and are visible from numerous vantage points on the Strip, both from the street and neighboring structures. The show takes place every 30 minutes in the afternoons and early evenings, and every 15 minutes from 8 p.m. to midnight. Before a water show starts, the nozzles break the water surface and the lights illuminating the hotel tower turn to a purple hue (usually), or red-white-and-blue for certain music. Shows may be cancelled without warning because of wind, although shows usually run with less power in face of wind. A single show may be skipped to avoid interference with a planned event. The fountain display is choreographed to various pieces of music, including songs by Andrea Bocelli, Frank Sinatra, and Gene Kelly. wikipedia

Sightseeing in Strasbourg, France

When I visited Brussels, Belgium, one of the seat of European Union Parliament, I was at the same time thinking to visit Strasbourg in France. I am happy that it did came true. We had a trip there last December 2010 to see and experience especially their famous Christmas market.

Straßburg or Strassburg (in German), called in English as Strasbourg is the capital and principal city of the Alsace region in north-eastern France. I found this historical city very charming and interesting. It is located near the border of Germany.

view of the historical Strasbourg Cathedral

Strasbourg is situated on the Ill River, where it flows into the Rhine on the border with Germany, across from the German town Kehl.

Strasbourg's historic city centre, the Grande Île ("Grand Island"), was classified a World Heritage site by UNESCO in 1988, the first time such an honor was placed on an entire city centre. Strasbourg is fused into the Franco-German culture and although violently disputed throughout history, has been a bridge of unity between France and Germany for centuries, especially through the University of Strasbourg, currently the largest in France, and the co-existence of Catholic and Protestant culture.

Road Sign

This is a road sign in Belgium. We were on the motorway as I took this image last August 2010. Belgium is the only country in Europe where I see lights on their highways. I guess, it would be nice driving here during the night. We were on our way from Brussels to Amsterdam during this trip.

Cheese, Cheese and More Cheeses

Sometimes, I already forget English terms and grammar. This is the problem when I started to learn, speak and understand German language. But I am happy that I can already basically speak and understand German. I was asking awhile ago about the plural of cheese. It is cheeses, right? Oh yeah, I got it right! This is the reason why I am sharing cheese, cheese and more cheeses here!

This was taken during our trip in Amsterdam this year and a part of it was seeing a cheese factory and how this yummy cheeses are made.

The lady who was explaining how cheeses are made told us that some of these cheeses are already 20 years old. The first thing I asked her immediately was; Can we still eat those old centuries cheeses? The answer is a big NO! That's all for my travel experience from Amsterdam for now!

Random Image from Rome, Italy

It is a great experience visiting the city that is the dream of many including me. Rome which has been given a nickname, "Eternal City" is truly a wonderful place to visit. It's history spans now for around 2,500 years. It is the capital of Italy and the country's largest and most populated city.

Here is an image of Vatican City in Rome taken during our visit last August 2010. You can see the famous San Pietro or St. Peter's Square on the left side of the image.

Visiting Rome, Italy

I believed I am lucky enough to visit the domicile of the head of the Catholic Church. Visiting Vatican City especially Saint Peter's Cathedral is a great moment for me. It was truly a memory that I can keep forever. I am very thankful that I was given the chance to visit this beautiful city. It was a dream put into reality and it is just unbelievable. Here is an image of me and my friend during our visit last month of August, 2010.

Goodbye Rome! Goodbye Nonna!

Another weekend is here! I can't believed that we are already on the last weekend of August. Time truly flies-by so fast. The Europe adventure that me and friend spent together is also over. We drove her to Nuremberg airport this morning for her trip back to the United States tomorrow at 7:00 AM. It was a great time with Nonna. I can't also imagine that I had seen her again after around 12 years maybe. I can't exactly remember but the last time I saw her in our home town was more than ten years ago. Me and hubby were grateful of her visit. We believed that she had a great time during her three weeks vacation here in Europe.

It is also time to say goodbye to Rome, the first city that me and Nonna did visited during our Europe tour. Here is an image of me in front of one of the famous sights and architecture in Rome, Italy, the Colosseum or Colosseo.
such an amazing work of Roman architecture and engineering!

Visit in Neumarkt, Bavaria

Hello folks! It seems that I was away for some days here. I had a Europe tour with a friend and now we are finally backed home but the tour is still not over. We still have around five days for sightseeing in some nearby cities in Bavaria, Germany. I am sharing an image of the first town where my friend and I had a sightseeing last August 9, 2010. This was in Neumarkt, a district in the Upper Palatinate of Bavaria. You can see the town hall and the church in the image I took below. More updates to come soon!

Finally in Rome, Italy

Hello everyone! I am finally in Rome, Italy. Thanks to the WIFI connection of the hotel where we are staying right now. That is the reason why I am online at the moment. I am also thankful that I brought with me my netbook. The first sight we visited in Rome is Vatican City. We had the chance to climbed up to the cupola of St. Peters Cathedral. Sad to say, I forget to bring with me my binocular. If I brought it with me, I should be able to see closer the surroundings of Vatican. It is truly a very interesting trip we had yesterday. Midnight is over again. I have to slowly sign off now. We need to wake-up early later for another sightseeing. Good morning folks!

Paradise Pier, Disneyland, California

Paradise Pier is a themed "land" at Disney's California Adventure Park, Disneyland's sister park. Its appearance is based on that of real California boardwalks. Despite its name and the presence of a nearby manmade lake, Paradise Pier is not actually a pier, but merely a waterside area of the park. The roller coaster California Screamin' sprawls across much of it, with various other attractions and forms of entertainment scattered around it.

Remembering My Trip to Stratford Upon Avon, Shakespeare's Birthplace

It seems that I haven't updated this blog for some days. Sorry folks, I am quite busy offline doing a lot of chores in the house especially cleaning the dust caused by the little renovation we are having right now. July is here! I just wish everyone a wonderful one.

Here are some pictures taken during my three weeks vacation in England. These were taken in Stratford Upon Avon, one of the cities we visited.

This building is the birthplace of the famous poet and playwriter William Shakespeare.
The second image below is the Avon River that flows in Stratford, thus the name Stratford Upon Avon.

Skywatching in Kallmuenz Castle

It's TGIF again! Thanks God it's Friday! I know that a lot of workers who have off during weekends are happy again. They can have time with their family or friends during these days. They can go for a weekend trip maybe, go dining out or maybe grilling in the garden. Today was a perfect day for grilling but we have to take care of some things today.

On our way home tonight, we passed-by this castle ruins in Kallmuenz, a small town in Regensburg, Germany. Isn't it a good thing remembering what the people had done during those times especially in building architecture like this? I am always fascinated and I truly found this architecture very impressing. Here is the picture I took from Kallmuenz Castle Ruins.
