A Friend Loves Art and Crafts

I had a lunch in a friend's house yesterday. I found out that she has already a table for her craft stuffs on her dining room. She is busy preparing some invitations for a friend's baby shower. Together with another friends, I am not quite sure if they save the date cards from invitationbox.com. I would love to give her stuffs for scrapbooking and other art and crafts items. I admire her having the patience of doing all those things. How I wish I am but I am always occupied with a lot of things. In fact, I already left my scrapbook for a year now. I hope to find time in finishing the one that I already started.

Take care folks and wishing everyone a wonderful month of October.

Shopping in Kadewe Berlin

Anyone going to Berlin soon? Do you plan to go shopping when visiting there? Kadewe in Berlin is a good place. Kadewe which stands for "Kaufhaus des Westens", Department Store of the West in English, is the second largest department store in Europe; trumped only by Harrods in London. Speaking of Harrods, I also had the chance to visit this department store. I saw Princess Diana's Memorial inside this store. Don't you know that there are lots of security guards in both of these departments stores? I am just wondering if they are using metal detectors gold. I remember that experience inside Kadewe, where I was taking images of Gucci store. The security guard told me that it is not allowed to take pictures inside. Sorry guard, I already got some like what you see here. I am already contented with my DKNY leather boots and Dolce and Gabanna bag from Kadewe.

The Liberty Bridge Accross Danube River in Budapest

Time truly runs so fast. It's been almost a month now since we visited Budapest, the capital city of Hungary. It was only a short trip but we had seen and experienced a lot of sights. The highlight of our visit was the fireworks during the National Holiday in Hungary.

The image you see below is the Liberty Bridge, called in Hungarian as Szabadság híd. It is sometimes Freedom Bridge. It connects Buda and Pest across the River Danube. It is the third southernmost public road bridge in Budapest, located at the southern end of the City Centre.

Using Credit Cards

I believed credit card is not new to you. It is just a plastic card but credit cardholders can use it as a form of payment. It allows its holder to buy goods and services based on the holder's promise to pay for these goods and services. Using credit card is not bad at all as long as you know your limit and you can pay it back after using it.

In the US, most and maybe all people are using credit cards. I also heard that you cannot even rent a car there if don't use credit card as a payment. Using credit cards will also determine your credit standing and history. Without this again, as far as I heard from some friends, you cannot make a loan for a house or a car because this is where they will check your credit history.

There are also this so-called Visa reward card which will earn you some points when you use it. I heard from some friends that sometimes, they can earn as high as a thousand dollar because they are always using their plastics as form of payments. This is quite a good idea and I believed they are outstanding credit card users.

As a traveler, I find credit card very useful. I can use it especially in withdrawing money anywhere especially if the currency is different. It is actually safer for me to use it than exchanging monies from someone or elsewhere in a country that I am visiting. I can also use it as payment.

Don't judge a person who is using credit card. The main reason why they have it, its because merchants or card issuers are trusting these credit cardholders that they can pay it back. Besides, they will not issue one to you if you are not capable of paying it back. Also a reminder, you will not be one who will pay for their debts.

Lastly, you always have to remember, we already live in a modern and high technology world where plastics are very use often anywhere around the globe.

Cruising in Danube- From Spitz to Krems in Austria

It was only some hours cruise trip but a very fascinating and memorable one. I was with a friend Jean during that cruise. After we traveled from Gyor, Hungary to Wachau in Austria, we did had this wonderful cruise. It started in the Spitz, a wine town and ended in Krems, a riverside town in the Danube's Wachau Valley in Austria. These towns are famous tourist spots in Lower Austria.

The landscapes and scenery that we saw around are priceless. It was truly a wonderful trip last August 2011.

Spitz, this is where our cruise started.

Krems is where the cruise ended.

Where to Find Cheap Holidays

It seems that the cold breeze is here now. You can no longer wear shirt outside because it is getting cold again. The Autumn season is fast approaching! This is the time of the year where you can spend a holiday in a warmer region of this planet.

That is also the reason why we will be spending our holiday in warm Turkey in more than a week from now. Sometimes you can just find very cheap holiday packages anywhere. Included in our trip are the international flights, hotels, tour to different places in Turkey, tour guide, breakfast , dinner and the tourist guide.

Here are some tips on where to find or book your budget holidays.

Browse the Internet

This is one of the best way in searching for your next travel or vacation. Whether you are looking for cheap flights, affordable hotels, holiday packages, rental villas, apartments, all you need to do is simply move your mouse and with a click of it, you can already search a lot in the internet.

I remembered my Europe tour with a friend last year. We booked everything in internet and we were lucky to minimize our travel expenses. You know why? We planned it ahead and booked everything earlier. Imagine visiting seven countries in Europe for three weeks with less money? That was a record for me. It was the most interesting and memorable trip that I had so far.

taking-off in Nuremberg airport going to Rome. taken during our Europe tour last August 2010.

You can also browse for cheap flights online. Some cheap airlines in Europe include Easyjet, Air Berlin, Ryanair, Tuifly, Alitalia and a lot more.

Travel magazines, catalogues and Newspapers

I always found some affordable trips in newspapers and travel magazines. In fact I found this incoming trip to Turkey in a magazine that was sent to us sometimes in May 2011. I booked it immediately because there are only 8 seats left. I am happy that hubby is finally going with me.

Visiting a Travel Agency

Sometimes you are also lucky to find cheap vacation packages, cruise trips and last minute trips in a travel agency. I usually go there to pick-up travel catalogues.

Friends and Acquaintances

Through your friends or acquaintances, you can get sometimes cheap travel and holidays. This is the the so-called word of the mouth. I always tell friends if I find cheap trips anywhere especially in Europe. In return, they also tell me if they find cheap ones.

Knock Knock on the Door

I heard someone knocking on our door yesterday. It was the postman and he was delivering the new samsung digital camera that I ordered. I finally have it after some weeks of waiting. I did not expected for it already but I am happy to received it now.

Today, at around lunch time, somebody knocked at our door again. and yes, we don't have a door bell . Besides I don't want one to be installed also. I just need sometimes peace and silence to concentrate. If I don't hear the knock, I am sorry about it. I also reminded some friends that if they are coming, they need to inform me in advance because sometimes I am just so busy.

Anyway, who's knocking this lunch time? It was again a member of Jehovah Witness. I admire what they do going house to house and spreading the Good News. Sad to say, I cannot change my religion. We had a bit conversation and she asked me of do I think of the world 20 years from now? I told her that I cannot say something about it because I am not a Prophet. I also told her that I am not afraid of what will happen in the future because "I believed".

After she gave me a pamphlet , she walk away and wish me a good day. I did the same. I love reading their pamphlet because I can also get some ideas from there.

Just a reminder, be careful of whose knocking on door door. This world is sometimes dangerous.
