Welcome to Germany

It's been almost a year now since my friend from the United States visited us. It was her first time in Europe and she wanted to see and explore different countries in this continent. I was quite excited that time when picking her up at Nuremberg airport. It's been a decade since the last time we saw each other. Finally last summer 2010, she finally stepped-on the soil of Germany.

She spent three weeks during her vacation and was able to see seven countries in Europe. I believed she was satisfied during our trip. It was fun, exciting and full of adventure. Anyone wants to go touring with me next time? Just kidding folks.

Goodbye May, Hello June

The month of May is finally over. I hope that you all had a good month of May. The last day of May was rainy in our place in Bavaria, Germany. There was a strong rain accompanied with strong wind, lightnings and thunders. It was so far the strongest rain I experienced since living in this country. I guess some people were scared during that natural phenomenon. I heard over the radio that it brought some damages in the nearby places.

The sixth month of the year is finally here. The first day of June was quite rainy and cloudy almost the whole day in our place. I never saw sunshine today compared to the past days in May. The rain yesterday and today made our garden happy. I can almost see the plants and the flowers smiling in our garden..wink!

Don't you know that the month of June was named after the Roman goddess Juno? She is the wife of Jupiter, equivalent to the Greek goddess Hera. June is also known as the month of marriages. Some considered it a good luck to get married during this month.

If you are born in June, your horoscope is Cancer and your birthstones are the pearl, the Moonstone (gemstone), and the Alexandrite which means health and longevity. Its birth flowers are the honeysuckle and the rose.

I wish everyone a good start and overall a great month of June.

Here is my yellow rose for all birthday celebrants for the month of June. This is one of the roses in our garden. All the best to all of you!

Special Greetings to Bro!

I almost forgot that today is the birthday of my brother. Yes, I have another brother who is celebrating his birthday in the month of May. This is quite a late greetings considering Philippine time but I still want to wish you Bro a wonderful and meaningful birthday! More blessings and good health always and most of all more days and years to come in your life. No birthday card this year but for sure, I will be sending some Christmas Cards and Christmas presents this coming holiday season.

I am also wishing everyone a great week ahead. Hope you enjoy the rest of you weekend especially to my friends in Europe and in the U.S. Have a safe and memorable celebration of the Memorial Day to all American friends out there!

Was in Bellagio Las Vegas

I had been to some places in Italy but never been to the municipality of Bellagio. But I am very happy because I had the chance to visit Bellagio in Las Vegas. It is a luxury hotel in Las Vegas Strip, Paradise in Nevada. I love especially watching the Water Dancing Show here, also known as the Fountains of Bellagio.

I am happy to know that Bellagio Las Vegas was inspired by the Lake Como resort of Bellagio in Italy. Here is Bellagio Las Vegas during my 2008 vacation there.

I love watching the Fountains of Bellagio!

Taking Food Supplements

I was watching some news over the German television an hour ago. One of the featured news was the epidemic that is going on in Hamburg, Germany. If I am not mistaken, it is a kind of cholera disease because the symptoms are diarrhea and vomitting. I did not really hear it good because I was talking to hubby at the same time. What I heard clearly was, the bacteria came from animals like cows and maybe from some milk products and also from unwashed fruits and vegetables. I immediately asked hubby, what can we eat then? Does taking food supplements help? That's how the topic about it started.

Talking about food supplements, I know that there are already a lot in the market. If you want to buy HGH for example, be sure to read the reviews first and how it can help you. Some aspects such as Effectiveness, Safety of Ingredients, Ingredient Quality, Long Term Benefits need to be considered when buying the right food supplements. Ask the experts and professionals.

Got A Delivery

I was in the computer room this afternoon when somebody knocked so loudly at our door. That is the disadvantage of not having a doorbell but I like it better that way. I went downstairs and a man was standing in front of our door. He said, "You have a delivery". I forgot that hubby told me last Saturday that the thick hollow blocks for our terrace will be delivered this afternoon. I don't have any idea how much it cost because it was also not stated on the delivery statement. We got 240 hollow blocks delivery today. I tried to carry one but it was too heavy for me. They are lying now outside. I hope our little home improvement project will be done soon.

Watching German Football

Football, known as Fussball in German, is the national and most famous sport in Germany. Last Wednesday night, I watched the close game played between Schalke and Mönchengladbach. It was a very interesting fight that I watched it until it was over. Mönchengladbach won with a score of 5-3 and they remain in the First Football League in Germany. It is normal that in every game especially during championships, sports trophies are always awarded. This year's champion of German football is the team of Borussia Dortmund. My favorite Bayern Munich garnered only the third place. So sad for them but that is sport, sometimes you win and sometimes you lose! Good luck next time!
