It's a Yellow Lovely Kalanchoe

This is a cute lovely yellow Kalanchoe taken during our visit to the garden center. I have one before but it already died during the winter time. It is succulent flowering plants in the Family Crassulaceae. I can't stay too long now. We have to go a bit walking. I will visit you soon once we come back. Have a lovely week ahead and hope that you enjoy the rest of your weekend.
These plants are cultivated as ornamental houseplants and rock or "succulent" garden plants. They are popular because of their ease of propagation, low water requirements, and wide variety of flower colors typically borne in clusters well above the vegetative growth. The section Bryophyllum - formerly an independent genus - contains species such as the "Air plant" Kalanchoe pinnata. In these plants, new individuals develop vegetatively as plantlets, also known as bulbils or gemmae, at indents along the leaves. These young plants eventually drop off and take root. No males have been found of one species of this genus which does flower and produce seeds, and it is commonly called, the Mother of Thousands.

Can't Wait to Go Home

Good afternoon everyone! How was your weekend? Thanks God, I had a great one. I hope you too. I am starting to count the days until I will fly for vacation next week. I am quite excited to see my family, relatives and friends once again. I am also imagining now of the sunny weather and the blue sky and sea back home. I am evading the cold winter in Europe. I am thinking if we need air filters for the air condition in my room. Sometimes, it can be very hot in the Philippines especially in the summer time. I hope it is not so hot next month and the first months of 2010. I just can't wait to go home to spend Christmas, New Year and the Sinulog festival in Cebu. I am quite optimistic of my long vacation there. More updates in my other blog sites.

Visit to Mother Shipton's Cave in Knaresbourough, England

I guess this is a perfect timing for today's meme entry. One year ago, as you can see the embedded date in the picture below, I had the chance to visit Mother Shipton's Cave in Knaresbourough, England. OOppss, sorry I guess I am wrong. I mean, we had the chance to go in front of her house because at the the time we visited it, it was still closed. I just took a photo instead because I have to hurry up to catch the train back to Birmingham in England. Those were interesting experience I had in England.

The Fountain Inside Ballys Hotel, Las Vegas

I can't believe that I can visit the city which is the dream of most people to see. I was in Las Vegas last year. Imagine a two months vacation in the US. I took the photo of this Fountain inside Ballys Hotel. I miss this place where we always hang-out to watch my cousin performs. My cousin Ann is a very good singer and entertainer. I am hoping to visit it next year to also see my sister once again.

My Friend Got a Red Scarf in Passau

It's time to share something with red again. My friend was wearing a white and red scarf here during our visit to Passau, a city in Bavaria, Germany last weekend. This picture was taken in the Residence Square in Passau. You can also see the fountain in our background. That was a memorable trip last weekend. I am also happy to see good friends once again.

Feel free to visit this beautiful meme to see red of all kinds! Thanks to Mary for hosting this meme! Happy RT day!

Visit to Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Bavaria, Germany

This is a special post for a blogger friend named James from the US. He was asking for some photos from Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Bavaria, Germany. I wish to share more photos but I am running of my bandwidth in uploading photos. I might end up paying for it next year when the allocated bytes for uploading photos is full. The picture here is the Town Hall of Rothenburg. I guess it don't look like Manhattan hotels as what I have seen in a travel catalog this morning. Others might be thinking this is a hotel but its not. We visited this historical medieval town last January 2008 as you can see the embedded date in the picture. I am still hoping to visit this city again. Visit my Explore Germany site for more photos.

Beautiful Chrysanthemum

Chrysanthemums were first cultivated in China as a flowering herb as far back as the 15th century BC. An ancient Chinese city (Xiaolan Town of Zhongshan City) was named Ju-Xian, meaning "chrysanthemum city". The plant is particularly significant during the Double Ninth Festival. The flower was introduced into Japan probably in the 8th century AD, and the Emperor adopted the flower as his official seal. There is a "Festival of Happiness" in Japan that celebrates the flower.

The flower was brought to Europe in the 17th century. Linnaeus named it from the Greek word chrysous, "golden"(the colour of the original flowers), and -anthemon, meaning flower. wikipedia
