Walking at Seewog Lake, Miesenbach

My typical Sunday afternoon, walking around here in Seewog Lake, in Ramstein-Miesenbach, a small city in the state of Rheinland Pflalz, Germany. This time with friends instead of my husband. Yesterday we had a very delicious Beef Nilaga (a Filipino dish), bagoong and kimchi as lunch here in my friend's house. I really ate a lot since it's also one of my favorite Filipino food.

Well it's really sad to say, eating is now my hobby (very bad huh??) which made me gain weight here in Germany. Can you imagine that, I am only four and a half years in Germany and I already gain 15 kilos at this span of time. Really don't sound good. I also don't like it but I love cooking, therefore I also love eating.

a beautiful sunset reflecting to the frozen lake of Seewog
After taking some break yesterday afternoon, we decided to go walking in Seewog, a lake here in Ramstein Miesenbach. Sounds really a very good idea, breathing fresh air there and seeing the nice view of the frozen lake in the winter time.

A lot of people were also there walking and some were drinking beer and coffee in a small kiosk. Actually we plan to feed the ducks in the lake with some old bread. But since the lake was frozen, we never did see even a single duck. So we just went around the lake and took some pictures. It was such a great Sunday since it was also sunny and not so cold.

Perhaps We Do

I was touched reading this story and I hope for all readers too.I admit I do this sometimes and will try my best to avoid doing it. I hope that this story will be a lesson for all of us, that's why I am also sharing this to all who read this blog. And for Amy who shared this, thank you very much for the reminder. I am very lucky having no handicap and live a normal life. And for sure you too. Here is the story!!

Last year I was in a car accident. It wasn't much but it made me realize that I am more privileged than others. I had to stay in a wheelchair for about three months.

Before then, I looked down and stared at the people in wheelchairs. I was only in a wheelchair for three months and it was the most humiliating time of my life.

People were staring at me in disgust. I would hate to feel how the people who have to stay in wheelchairs their whole life would feel like.

In conclusion, I ask you not to stare down at the people in wheelchairs because I know how humiliating it is for them.

from The Mountain: I am sure none of us do this consciously but perhaps unconsciously we send signals that we shouldn't. We look away instead of smiling and speaking at the handicapped. Perhaps we sometimes do and we shouldn't.

Dust If You Must

How many countless hours have I spent cleaning? I used to spend at least 8 to 12 hours every weekend making sure things were just perfect, "in case someone came over." Then one day I realized that no one came over; they were all out living life, having fun!

Now, when people visit, I find no need to explain the"condition" of my home; they are more interested in hearing about the things I've been doing while I was away living life and enjoying it!

If you haven't figured this out yet, please heed this advice:Life is short - enjoy it while you can!And people don't care if your house is spotless just as long as they're welcome.

Dust if you must but wouldn't it be better,To paint a picture or write a letter,Bake a cake or plant a seed, Ponder the difference between want and need?

Dust if you must but there's not much time,With rivers to swim and mountains to climb,Music to hear and books to read,Friends to cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must but the world's out there With the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair,A flutter of snow, a shower of rain,This day will not come around again.

Dust if you must but bear in mind, Old age will come and it's not kind. And when you go and go you must,You, yourself, will make more dust.

Remember, a house becomes a home when you can write "I love you"on the furniture!

Unfair

"Life is so unfair!"I hear people making this statement quite often. In justice, misfortune, or good fortune can be perceived as occurring through random chance - some just have it easy and some have it rough.
It can appear to the purely logical mind that there is no rhyme or reason why this is so. The problem with the logical mind is that it is not actually so logical or smart. We still can't create the simplest grasshopper or even a blade of grass.
Even with all of our scientific advances, the divorce rate among the Ph.D. is no lower than that among the illiterate. We know more about a terrorist in a cave than we do our next-door neighbor. Our understanding and our abilities are simply very limited.
Our understanding in the grand scheme of things is like George. No, not that George, my two-year-old son George. When you start counseling, you get to see the inner world and inner reasons. You soon see that whether it is generational, environmental, or the choices we make, things do have a reason.
We may not be able to see the complete picture, but there is a reason for the way things are. The more involved you get, the more of that you see.
Stuff, good or bad, has a reason.
One day I may be able to explain it all to you.
As soon as I can make a blade of grass and a grasshopper.
Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

The Bread of Life

"I Am The Bread of Life" Jesus said, "I am the Bread of Life. The person who aligns with me hungers no more and thirsts no more, ever. I have told you this explicitly because even though you have seen me in action, you don't really believe me. Every person the Father gives me eventually comes running to me. And once that person is with me, I hold on and don't let go. I came down from heaven not to follow my own whim but to accomplish the will of the One who sent me.

This, in a nutshell, is that will: that everything handed over to me by the Father be completed--not a single detail missed--and at the wrap-up of time I have everything and everyone put together, upright and whole.

This is what my Father wants: that anyone who sees the Son and trusts who he is and what he does and then aligns with him will enter real life, eternal life. My part is to put them on their feet alive and whole at the completion of time."

John 6:35-40

Bible Verses

Freedom from sin... walking in the light
Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
Galatians 6:7-9 NIV
______________
(Speaking to the woman caught in the act of adultery) And Jesus said, "I do not condemn you, either. Go. From now on sin no more." Then Jesus again spoke to them, saying, "I am the Light of the world; he who follows Me will not walk in the darkness, but will have the Light of life." John 8:11,12 NASB
______________
For ye were sometimes darkness, but now are ye light in the Lord: walk as children of light: For the fruit of the Spirit is in all goodness and righteousness and truth.
Ephesians 5:8,9 KJV
______________
Thanks be unto God for his unspeakable gift: Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God is the object of our faith; the only faith that saves is faith in Him.

I'm Away Again!!

Hi Everyone!! Sorry I did not post anything yesterday since I went with my friend back to Ramstein. That was a very long trip, almost seven hours by the train from Parsberg till Rasmtein. Usually it only takes about 4 hours drive by car. I believed I got some jetlag yesterday. I was very tired and got some headache. We went quick to Armstrong to have dinner. After that I felt better.

We changed train 3 times. That was quite an exciting but tiresome journey. We passed a lot of big cities in Germany like Nuernberg, Heidelberg, Mannheim, Ludwigshafen, Kaiserslautern, Moosbach and a lot more. The last train going to Ramstein had a lot of stops which really took us so long during the journey. That was also not so bad since we also saw a lot of small cities.

While in the train, we took a lot of pictures from the different stops and also the places we passed by. I will try to post some pictures tomorrow for you to see...Goodnight everyone!!! Have to go to sleep now since it's almost midnight here in my place. I hope that you enjoy your weekend!!!
