New Year's Party Blast!!

I want to award this food as the most beautifully decorated one. A fruit salad prepared by Ritchel. I guess this is her specialty now!! It was really yummy that I took home a lot..lol!! thanks for preparing it Ritc!! next time make it double..para mas marami ang BH...hehehe!!

Guten Abend!! a German word which means "good evening". I hope you had a great welcome for the New year! Yes we do! especially that tons of food were prepared again last New Year Day's party. Good friends gathered together to celebrate and to welcome 2009. As usual, Filipino, American and German friends were present during the wonderful and lovely party. What do you think if you see these delicious and superb food!! American specialties as well as Filipino and German delicacies were cooked and prepared to welcome the bountiful and prosperous New Year! Thanks to great friends who were present during the celebration. Special thanks to Ritchel and hubby for hosting again the party. A champagne was also toasted by everyone. Different drinks, wines, fruit punch, beer and even my long last favorite nine years ago, tequila was also shot!! I guess the ladies were tipsy after drinking a shot!! Special awards to best cook in 2009:
Ritchel and Hubby prepared ham, sort of pork curry with vegetables, pumpkin cake, fruit salad, crabs, fruit punch, fresh fruits, scallop potatoes..did I forgot something guys..let me know!

Danna and Hubby contributed Embutido and Lasagna
Maria's Hubby cooked a German delicacy called Gesnitzel I guess..some sort of pork with mushroom and cream

I also cooked menudo apritada, adobo, pancit bihon, pancit canton, baked fish with olive oil from Ritchel, some sort of chop suey and a newly invented pork with oeyster sauce, red pepper and onions.

I'm not sure if I forgot some recipes here..leave your comment guys if ever I forgot something..thanks in advance!!

Ritchel's hubby's family specialty recipe, the pumpkin cake which is written in their family's cookbook..I was surprised to see their cookbook...amazing work!!.. My husband love this too that I have to take home three slices last time!! wanna try one?? wink!!

The yummy Embutido prepared by Danna and hubby....I ate a lot of this since it has been a long time I haven't eat this... I guess I want to try this recipe next time..the look shows that this really taste good!! great job Danna!

My Vegas Vacation

Happy New year to all!! I just remember my Las Vegas escapades last year. It was truly an amazing one. Imagine staying there for almost two months. What do you expect but all fun and excitement. I love to travel and still hoping to visit places and countries this year. And yes I will..just watch it out! Slowly by slowly, I am seeing the places of my dreams. I was looking for Westgate about a certain place to travel next time. I guess their giving good deals! Where's My Sunglass

I am back! I got another busy day today. I am finally finished with my sewing. I also went extra grocery shopping for New Year's party. Actually I am already done with grocery shopping last Saturday but since another gathering will be held, I have to go again to buy some stuffs. Today was a sunny but very freezing cold winter day. The sun was really shining so brightly. On my way to Parsberg, where I normally go grocery shopping every week, I was blinded by the rays of the sun. It was really painful to the eyes. Thanks goodness that I always have sunglasses in my car. In fact, I have three sunglasses inside my car. See how sunglasses or eyeglasses can truly help you!

I love sunglasses. I am just thankful that I still have very good eyes. But sometimes, it is aching especially when I stay too long in front of my pc. I don't know exactly what kind of eyeglasses I need. I am planning to visit my eye doctor next year again. Talking about eyeglasses, I found very nice and trendy ones online. Zenni Optical simply have amazing designs and styles. I love one of their Holiday frames especially the Full rim Frame with Sparkling Crystal. The best thing with this, is that you can have it for as low as $8.00. This is the cheapest one that I saw online. With the aching economy and financial crisis now, why would you have the expensive one when you can have it for a very low and affordable price. Not only that, you can have a variety of styles and designs to choose from. I know you also want the stylish and modern ones......just like me!! get one now before New year comes!! What Women wants

I guess you already know what women wants all the time. I mean most women. First on the list I guess is shopping and traveling. I can't deny that I belong to the list. But I guess, I am getting wiser now with regards to shopping. Last Monday, I went alone in Nuremberg to see the famous Christmas market there. Nuremberg is one of the big cities here in Germany. Before going to the Christmas market, I went first to my favorite shops like H&M, C&A, Xanaka, Orsay, New Yorker and some other shops. I saw a lot of Christmas promotional products. Since there are products that are on sale, of course, I was buying some too. I got a nice dress for only 4.95 Euros. The original price was 34.95 Euros. Imagine a savings of almost 85%! That is already a great deal! What women wants especially shopping is sometimes great when you have great deals too!! Be a wise shopper girls!! It can be fun and you can save some bucks too!
