Warning to All Pinays Who Want to Marry Foreigners

This is a true story which is a very sad one. ..just wanted to share it with you guys esp. to all Pinays who might want to marry foreigners.... Each and everyone have its own luck. Others might have good luck but others might have bad ones. Well, I am not telling you that you are not going to marry foreigners but this serves only as a guide even a lesson for those who already experienced it. Remember everyone is unique and not all people are really bad..Besides the story of Maria is not always the same as the story of Eva....is that right???hope you agree with me..but then it's up to you to decide....anyway, this post is in relation to my previous post last Thursday..

Last week, I got a phone call from a school institution where this Filipina was taking a German language course. The secretary there already knew me and told me about the situation of this Filipina. Let me just name this Pinay, Ana...Ana is only five months here in Germany and she is three months pregnant as of now...(wow I envy her)..I've been married for almost five years but still did not get pregnant...just waiting for God's grace for me...

Ok let me continue....The secretary told me that Ana need immediate help before everything will be too late. ..I told the secretary of that school that I will be meeting Ana, which happened last Wednesday...and yup I met Ana that day and shared to me about her situation which is really very sad and depressing. She is married to this German guy who is irresponsible, lazy and even don't respect her as a person. His husband even telling her words that are so degrading.

Ana said that she is mentally tortured. She always tried her best to be a good wife but it is nothing to his husband. She do everything in the house like cleaning, washing clothes and cooking too. She said that she is treated like a maid but not a wife. If her husband don't like the food that she cooked, he let her eat everything. He even let her eat food that are almost expired....what a pitiful situation... As I look at her face while telling me about her situation, she looks pale and thin... and pregnant.

She said that her husband was not like that before as she met him in the Philippines. He was very kind to her and his family in the Philippines. They even communicated for four long years, before they got married in the Philippines. After they got married, she was able to obtain her visa to Germany after one year. That was a total of five years knowing each other.

The only bad thing that I can't really stand as she was telling her story was that, his husband wanted to abort the three months old baby in her womb so she can go back to the Philippines...Ana said that his husband is even making a contact to other Filipina at this moment, maybe as her replacement once she will be back to the Philippines. He really wanted to get rid of her. His husband even told her that once he will know that she is making contact and ask for help to anybody esp. for Pinays, he will even kill her. (Talagang nakakatindig balahibo).....such a scary and horrible story.

Those are the reasons why I really want to help her. I want to help whatever I can offer esp. saving the life of the unborn child in her womb. Last Thursday, I have to make a lot of phone calls to contact people and organizations who can offer her help. Thanks God that everything went ok. I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to those people who helped her.

I'm exhausted...hello

Got a lot of phone calls and I also made a lot of phone calls. It is just very important calls. At dawn, I called my beloved Father in the Philippines to greet him on his birthday. He is now 72 years old..Thanks God for the gift of life esp. for giving my Father always good health. My father is still strong and I hope and pray that he will be given more days and years of his life. He is really great.

I want to thank my parents esp. my father for what I am now. Without them, I will not be able to see the beauty of this vast universe. I owe my life to them and whatever happens they always be in my heart and in my mind. I am happy talking to my parents today. At least I got some contact with them.

Even today is quite an exhausting day, I am still happy that I was able to extent my help to someone who really needed help very badly. I hope and pray that everything will be fine soon for this lady.

Lastly, I want to greet again my Papang to this very memorable day!! I wish you always good health, love, peace and happiness always. God bless you in everything that you do!!! I love you Papang and Mamang. I also miss you all there!!! hope to see you soon!!!

Biblical Significance of Ash Wednesday

Ash Wednesday is a time for repentance and the beginning of Lent. Ashes were used in ancient times, according to the Bible, to express penitence. Dusting oneself with ashes was the penitent's way of expressing sorrow for sins and faults. An ancient example of one expressing one's penitence is found in Job 42:3-6. Job says to God: "I have heard of thee by the hearing of the ear: but now mine eye seeth thee. Wherefore I abhor myself, and repent in dust and ashes." (c. 5-6, KJV) Other examples are found in several other books of the Bible including, Numbers 19:9, 17, Hebrews 9:13, Jonah 3:6, Matthew 11:21, and Luke 10:13.

However, some Christians, who do not celebrate Ash Wednesday, say that the practice is not consistent with Scripture and is of pagan origin.[11] They usually cite Matthew 6:16–18, where Jesus gave prescriptions for fasting: "And whenever you fast, do not look dismal, like the hypocrites. Truly I tell you, they have received their reward. But when you fast, put oil on your head and wash your face, so that your fasting may be seen not by others but by your Father who is in secret; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you." (NRSV) These groups argue that Jesus warned against fasting to gain favor from other people and that he also warned his followers that they should fast in private, not letting others know they were fasting. For these reasons, some Christian denominations do not endorse the practice. Others, however, point out that this very passage from Matthew is the one, not coincidentally, that is appointed by the Revised Common Lectionary to be read on Ash Wednesday. They might also clarify that the ashen Cross on the forehead does not represent the fast, but the mortal condition of human existence.

What A Day!!

I have to wake-up early today because I have to drive to Neumarkt having some matters to be taken care of. I also have an appointment with the Arbeitsamt (Unemployment Office) in the afternoon. After that went grocery shopping and shopping???

I accompanied a fellow Filipina to the Landratsamt (Town Hall) to act as a translator (kuno). As I already parked my car in the park place.....guess what happened?? well, the driver who is an old lady of a big Mercebenz car wanted to park next to me. As she was pulling down down the car next to my car.......bang!!! she hit the back right side of my car. What a Day!!!! I just came there to help somebody and now my car was hit.

Anyway, sometimes things happen the way you don't want it to be. It's an accident. I guess this old lady already loses her estimate because she already saw my car very near to her car but still she continue driving. Not a big problem, I believed she is retired and have a lot of money to pay for the damage of my car. Or maybe her car insurance will pay for the damage....don't really sounds good...

In Germany, you cannot own a car without insurance. It is a law that says"No insurance, No car", therefore it is a must to have one. The problem is, if you have accident and you let the insurance pay for it, the bill of your insurance is getting higher. I have been there. and I know what's going on. Some people pay with their own money if the damage of the car is not so high, unless maybe if the damage is really very expensive, then they let the insurance pay for it....

Guess I'm really very tired today...will tell you more tomorrow what other things happened today!!! ......all i can say.."Life is still beautiful"
take care everyone!!

My Tuesday..

Hello everyone!!! How was your day???

Today is just a normal day for me. After eating my lunch at about 2pm,(yup that was too late already) I decided to go walking even I really don't feel like doing so. I just wanted to breath some fresh air outside the cold weather.

I went a up the hill until I remembered that I have to extend my condolence to my neighbor whose husband was dead already. Her husband was stubbed to death in Czech Republic. That was certainly a very sad and tragic story. I didn't stay too long in her house. After talking a bit and saying condolence to her ,I continued my walking. Life is really short. We don't know when is the time for us. What we can probably do is to be always prepared when that time comes.

It is winter time in Germany. I'm happy during this winter season because it's not snowing in our place. Compared to the first years that I have been here, it was really snowing very hard. The other parts of Germany have been snowing so hard especially near the Alps.

I love my place now. It is just a small village and the sceneries are really great. I also took some photos because the scene up the hill is very nice. Hopefully will post it here once I upload it already. Guess that's all for today.. take care everyone!!!
