WW- Home Sweet HOme

It's almost midnight now. I hope that you had a great start of the month. I believed I had a good one. I am only sad after reading the news in the internet about the calamities that hit some countries in Asia including my beloved Philippines. We live in the middle part of the country in the island of Visayas particularly in Cebu Province. That is the photo that you see here. This is where my family live. It was also hit by big waves last January. Thanks God that my family are safe. A lot of small houses were also washed away by the big waves.

This is the place that I call home. I already found my second home in Europe but Philippines will always be my first home. Home Sweet Home! take care guys!

140 die in Philippine storm, toll expected to rise

MANILA, Philippines – Rescuers pulled more bodies from swollen rivers Monday as residents started to dig out their homes from under carpets of mud after flooding left 140 people dead in the Philippine capital and surrounding towns.

Overwhelmed officials called for international help, warning they may not have sufficient resources to withstand another storm that forecasters said was brewing east of the island nation and could hit as early as Friday.

Authorities expected the death toll from Tropical Storm Ketsana, which scythed across the northern Philippines on Saturday, to rise as rescuers penetrate villages blocked off by floating cars and other debris. The storm dumped more than a month's worth of rain in just 12 hours, fueling the worst flooding to hit the country in more than 40 years. At least 140 people died, and 32 are missing.

Troops, police and volunteers have already rescued more than 7,900 people, but unconfirmed reports of more deaths abound, Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro said.

Oktoberfest 2009 Updates

It seems that this blog was abandoned for some days! Sorry about that guys. The Author is always busy both offline and online plus the escapades that we always have. I also apologize if you always see in my blogs updates and photos about Oktoberfest. We were finally there yesterday. The day before was like a Black Friday for me because I did not had a good sleep. Or maybe because I was quite excited with our trip to Munich for the Oktoberfest. We arrived home safe early this morning at around 2:00 am. We both had a nice and not so good experience during our trip but over all I would say that it was wonderful! I wish to share more about it in a couple of days. Starting Over Again

I went shopping today. Me and a friend drove to Donaueinkaufszentrum, a mall in Regensburg. We should normally go out yesterday but due to some reasons, I just can't besides that I am also very busy. On the way to Regensburg, we have been talking about health matters. I also told her that I am always starting over again and again with my diet plan. We also talked about health matters like colon cleanse, back pains, headache, menstruation and a lot more. Until we did not noticed that we are almost in Regensburg. We did not find a lot of sale in the mall. I guess the summer sale is over and we are already too late. I am still trying to buy clothing for my balikbayan boxes. I will buy tomorrow what important things that I need more and hopefully on Friday I can already start packing my Balikbayan boxes. I guess 3 to 4 are enough. I will see how many I need. Goodnight folks!

Oktoberfest 2009 Is Almost Here!

Nobody can stop the famous and biggest festival in the world! Oktoberfest in Munich is almost here! This year's celebration will start this coming Saturday September 19 and will last until October 4, 2009. This will be a lot of fun again! I'll see you there! TF- Calluna Vulgaris or Common Heather or Heidekraut

I finally bought some Calluna Vulgaris plants. It is called Besenheide or Heidekraut in German. The other names are also Common Heather or Ling. It belong to the family Ericaceae. This flower is very famous as ornamental plants. I am happy to bought some of them. That's all for now guys! It's time for me to sign-off! Morning has broken again!

German American Festival in Hohenfels, Bavaria

Every year the US Army base in Hohenfels is inviting all German people to come and celebrate with them the so-called German American Volksfest. It is a kind of festival that is celebrated every month-end of April until the first week of May. Sometimes it last for a week but I think this year, it only last for five days. It is always a lot of fun visiting festivals like this! I love it! I also rode in that ferris wheel as we went there. This is my MYM post! take care everyone!
