The Road Sign

I am quite tired today after having not quite a good sleep last night. I am having a pain in my shoulder again. I also woke-up so early this morning. Normally during weekend, I wake-up around 10:00 am because I stay awake the whole night watching TV or surfing in the net. I am just showing a road sign here as we are passing-by Sinsheim going to Kaiserlautern in Germany. More updates in my other blogs!
You also see the sign with the nearest gasoline station, restaurant and toilet for disable persons. THis was taken last year in March 2009.

Spring is Finally Here

Another weekend is here! My sister that today is beginning of spring time in Dallas, Texas. I also heard this afternoon over a radio station here in Germany that today is the beginning of spring time. That is the reason why we headed to Burglengenfeld to buy some flowers and other stuffs for the house. I already started planting flowers this afternoon in our garden.

I am also sharing a picture of the Burglengenfeld Castle as we passed by this afternoon. You can only see the tower from this castle. What a gray sky we had but I am thankful that it is warmer now with a temperature of 16 degrees centigrade. I am so happy! Happy weekend to you too!

Not Another Snowy Winter Skies in Bavaria

"Snow drops like cotton balls outside.
It makes the surroundings gray and sad.
Its truly a cold and freezing weather now.
But always remember,
there is always beauty in winter time."
Ruby Benz

It is still snowing outside right now. I thought the spring time is almost coming but here comes snow again. The picture was taken last Sunday as we took a walk in our place. The day before we took our walk, it was snowing so hard but during the next day, you can already see the blue sky and the white surroundings. Since yesterday it was also snowing...Now we have a lot of snow again.

You can also see the tower of the castle ruins in Hohenfels from afar. Have a great and blessed weekend in advance to everyone!

Scenic Sunday in Passau, Germany

This is the castle called Veste Oberhaus in Passau in Bayern, Germany. It is a fortress that was founded in 1219 and, for most of its time, served as the stronghold of the Bishop of Passau. Here is the picture taken last November 2009 during my second visit to this city.

Saturday Escapades to the Burg Ruins of Donaustauf

We had finally had a day out yesterday. It was a perfect one because the weather was also friendly and nice. It was not so cold and not so hot but sometimes the wind was just chilly. That is typical weather in Germany. One destination we had yesterday was in the Castle Ruins or Burg Ruins in Donaustauf. I have been sometimes in Donaustauf but only yesterday that I noticed that there is a Castle in the same place where Walhalla is also located. I was amazed how big the castle was as we walked around and saw the castle walls that surrounds it. Amazing architecture. We also read an info near the gate that the castle was built around 500 BC. Imagine how old it is? This is one thing I admired about Germany...on how they preserved their history. A short break for me now and watch what an identity theft protection exactly all about! Enjoy the rest of your Sunday especially to all Mothers who have their special day today!

FYI: the photo was taken in the Castle Ruins of Donaustauf..the river you see is the second longest river in Europe called Danube River or Donau in German..fell free to visit my other sites for more pictures!

Can't Think of A Title

I just can't think of a title for this post. I just felt so bad after I saw the pictures which my husband took while we had a day-out today. I was already very happy as we went to Gewerbepark or Trade Park in Regensburg because I saw a lot of old cars which are on the show. We also went to the so-called Parthenon in Regensburg named Walhalla and to the Castle Ruins of Donaustauf. I just felt bad because my husband zoomed most of the pictures he took from me in Walhalla that you don't see anaymore the very nice view of it...Grrrrrrr..!! He still took good pictures though. but the good view that I wanted is not there. I always told him that it's ok if you only take a picture of my face as long as you got the whole nice view...Grrrrrr again!....Due to my anger, I told him that I will drive there again tomorrow to take more pictures! I guess I rather go for Outer Banks rentals to have fun alone! I still have a nice Saturday...hehehe! Feel free to visit my other sites for more pictures!

FYI: the so-called Parthenon in Germany. It is called Walhalla built by King Ludwig I of Bavaria in Donaustauf, Regensburg

Beautiful Sunday Visiting Tillyfest in Breitenbrunn

showing how the people dressed and lived during the older times..this is how the Tillyfest is all about....remembering the older times!!

participants of the Tillyfest in Breitenbrunn, Germany

I already woke-up so late today..Imagine waking up 11:30 AM. It is Sunday anyway and that's how we spend our weekend, sleeping to the max. Actually I can't sleep good last night. I spent reading a travel book until 3:00 AM and that's the reason why I woke-up so late. I immediately warmed-up the Schweinebraten (baked pork) I made yesterday. I put my home-made sauce in the baked pork and it really taste so good. It is one of my favorite German food. After we ate our lunch at 1:30 PM, we immediately got ready and headed to Breitenbrunn to witness the Tillyfest. The parade started at 2:00 P.M. and it started already as we arrived there. It is the first time, I watched the parade in this celebration which is always held here in Breitenbrunn every September.

We really have fun watching the feast. Today was really a beautiful.

To view more photos and infos about Tillyfest, please also visit my other sites. Thanks a lot!!
Enjoy the rest of your weekend!! Just sharing some pix I took from the Feast!!
