Planning to Buy Some Gadgets

I love electronic and gadgets. I love cameras and computers. I just ordered a lens camera this week and still waiting for it to be delivered. I just talked to dear sister in Las Vegas to also buy me a new laptop on Thanksgiving day next week. My friend said that there are a lot of sale items during Thanksgiving celebration in the US. I was even window shopping for flat screen tvs last week. We will see if we can buy a new tv early next year. For now, I just need more finances for my long vacation back home. I am almost flying home. Second, I might be flying to the United States again next year after my vacation back home. Probably, I will just stay in Europe for two weeks and fly to America to attend an important occasion. Have a great day guys! more updates in my other blogs!

It's a Yellow Lovely Kalanchoe

This is a cute lovely yellow Kalanchoe taken during our visit to the garden center. I have one before but it already died during the winter time. It is succulent flowering plants in the Family Crassulaceae. I can't stay too long now. We have to go a bit walking. I will visit you soon once we come back. Have a lovely week ahead and hope that you enjoy the rest of your weekend.
These plants are cultivated as ornamental houseplants and rock or "succulent" garden plants. They are popular because of their ease of propagation, low water requirements, and wide variety of flower colors typically borne in clusters well above the vegetative growth. The section Bryophyllum - formerly an independent genus - contains species such as the "Air plant" Kalanchoe pinnata. In these plants, new individuals develop vegetatively as plantlets, also known as bulbils or gemmae, at indents along the leaves. These young plants eventually drop off and take root. No males have been found of one species of this genus which does flower and produce seeds, and it is commonly called, the Mother of Thousands.

Can't Wait to Go Home

Good afternoon everyone! How was your weekend? Thanks God, I had a great one. I hope you too. I am starting to count the days until I will fly for vacation next week. I am quite excited to see my family, relatives and friends once again. I am also imagining now of the sunny weather and the blue sky and sea back home. I am evading the cold winter in Europe. I am thinking if we need air filters for the air condition in my room. Sometimes, it can be very hot in the Philippines especially in the summer time. I hope it is not so hot next month and the first months of 2010. I just can't wait to go home to spend Christmas, New Year and the Sinulog festival in Cebu. I am quite optimistic of my long vacation there. More updates in my other blog sites.

Visit to Mother Shipton's Cave in Knaresbourough, England

I guess this is a perfect timing for today's meme entry. One year ago, as you can see the embedded date in the picture below, I had the chance to visit Mother Shipton's Cave in Knaresbourough, England. OOppss, sorry I guess I am wrong. I mean, we had the chance to go in front of her house because at the the time we visited it, it was still closed. I just took a photo instead because I have to hurry up to catch the train back to Birmingham in England. Those were interesting experience I had in England.

The Fountain Inside Ballys Hotel, Las Vegas

I can't believe that I can visit the city which is the dream of most people to see. I was in Las Vegas last year. Imagine a two months vacation in the US. I took the photo of this Fountain inside Ballys Hotel. I miss this place where we always hang-out to watch my cousin performs. My cousin Ann is a very good singer and entertainer. I am hoping to visit it next year to also see my sister once again.

Visit to Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Bavaria, Germany

This is a special post for a blogger friend named James from the US. He was asking for some photos from Rothenburg ob der Tauber in Bavaria, Germany. I wish to share more photos but I am running of my bandwidth in uploading photos. I might end up paying for it next year when the allocated bytes for uploading photos is full. The picture here is the Town Hall of Rothenburg. I guess it don't look like Manhattan hotels as what I have seen in a travel catalog this morning. Others might be thinking this is a hotel but its not. We visited this historical medieval town last January 2008 as you can see the embedded date in the picture. I am still hoping to visit this city again. Visit my Explore Germany site for more photos.

Beautiful Chrysanthemum

Chrysanthemums were first cultivated in China as a flowering herb as far back as the 15th century BC. An ancient Chinese city (Xiaolan Town of Zhongshan City) was named Ju-Xian, meaning "chrysanthemum city". The plant is particularly significant during the Double Ninth Festival. The flower was introduced into Japan probably in the 8th century AD, and the Emperor adopted the flower as his official seal. There is a "Festival of Happiness" in Japan that celebrates the flower.

The flower was brought to Europe in the 17th century. Linnaeus named it from the Greek word chrysous, "golden"(the colour of the original flowers), and -anthemon, meaning flower. wikipedia

Visit to Eremitage in Bayreuth

We visited Eremitage, a castle in Bayreuth last August. They also have a very nice garden there. This water pond you see in my photo is also found in the castle. I wish to go back there again to see more around. We just spend some hours there and it is not enough for looking around. That's me in the photo! Goodnight for now!

Bought A Red Camping Guide for Germany

HB was laughing at me as he saw me taking a picture of the book I bought last weekend and put inside a red pail while carrying it. That is why the background is also red because I also bought a red pail. I am just getting ready for a camping escapade next year. The title of the book means Camping Guide for Germany, Austria, Switzerland and South Tirol. I wish to experience more travel next year when finances are available. I won't stay too long tonight. I have to wake up early tomorrow to attend a funeral ceremony of HB's relative. The place is around two hours drive from us. Condolence to HB's family and relatives.

I wish everyone a wonderful start of the month of November! I wish to visit you soon. sorry got some problems with our pc and netbook.

Planning for the Future

Have you heard about Harrison Barnes and his writings? If not just continue reading please. I watched last night some news on the television. Spiegel TV, a German TV program featured on its news about the millions of unemployed workers in United States especially the young ones. A lot of them are forced to enter the military just to have a job. I believed they need to have a good career advice before entering into this kind of career. There are millions of unemployed people now all over the world since the economic and financial crisis that hit us since last year. I have to admit that I am one of them. I guess I am still not too old to plan for my future. I need to have the right choice and the perfect time to start all over again. I already tried to find a job here in Europe. Since my education and work experiences are not recognized here, I need to start all over again. I even know some friends who shifted careers just to have a better job. I am happy that they are successful now. I believed it is time for me to move on and work for a better future. One step might be going back to school again.

Last night, I came across AHarrisonBarnes.com. It is a blog authored by a previous asphalt worker who became a successful lawyer and CEO. His name is Harrison Barnes. I read his biography and I admired how he succeeded in his life. What caught my attention as I was reading his blog are those very interesting articles he wrote about career advice which are indispensable to job search. I truly found his topics very helpful especially to a person like me who is already frustrated in trying to find a better job. Harrison Barnes don't only offer relevant career advice but also advice on life. I wonder how he became successful and I admire him sharing his thoughts and great ideas to individuals. I also love the saying he wrote at his other site CareerMission.com. The saying goes like this, "Shoot for the moon. Even if you miss it, you will land among the stars." How it would be great to land on stars! I also found a lot of job tips and information at CareerMission.com, another site which is also founded by Harrison Barnes. Just now, I discovered that working at home and earning money online is also possible in his other site named ShortTask.com. I guess this one is perfect for me. I'll see you later guys. I need to sign-up now in this site.

Lastly, I would like to apologize to all my friends online. My computer is really working very slow now. I wish to visit you soon. Have a great week too!

Happy Halloween Pumpkins!

Saintpaulia, African Violet for Halloween

We are just done with dinner eating my favorite Schweinebraten or roasted pork with a special home made sauce prepared by yours truly. Saintpaulia or African Violet is my TF entry for Halloween. I love these small but lovely flowers. This is one of my fave colours. Wishing everyone a good start of the month of November!
Saintpaulia, commonly known as African violet, is a genus of 6 species of herbaceous perennial flowering plants in the family Gesneriaceae, native to Tanzania and adjacent southeastern Kenya in eastern tropical Africa, with a concentration of species in the Nguru mountains of Tanzania. The genus is most closely related to Streptocarpus, with recent phylogenetic studies suggesting it has evolved directly from subgenus Streptocarpella. The common name was given due to a superficial resemblance to true violets (Viola, family Violaceae). wikipedia
