It's Shopping Time!

I did went shopping yesterday in Regensburg for some things I need in our kitchen. I am looking for some special items like digital cameras, ipods and laptop but most shops there are closed since it was Sunday. I guess shopping online is of great advantage because you can do it anytime at home as long as you have computer and internet connection. I even got interested on satellite radios because I found very cheap ones tonight. I am just not sure if this site ship to Europe. I want to find it out later. I have to bid goodnight for now. I just feel so sleepy right now. I wish everyone a very wonderful week ahead! take care guys!

Ducks on Danube River banks

What is Mesothelioma?

I already heard and read about this kind of cancer some months ago. Just the other week, I heard over the news that asbestos were found in a former training area for soldiers somewhere in Amberg in Bavaria, Germany. If I am not mistaken, this training area was occupied before by US Army. Asbestos is a very dangerous substance that can cause Mesothelioma cancer. The people who have been exposed to asbestos dust and fiber might developed this kind of cancer. Most people who develop this kind of cancer have worked on jobs wherein they inhaled asbestos particles. If this happened to you, you better contact the nearest Mesothelioma lawyers to help you with this terminal sickness. For those who are victims of this deadly disease, I hope and pray that a miracle will happen to you to be backed in your normal health. take care everyone and have a great week ahead!

Does Inadequate Sleep Help Lose Some Weight?

I really don't know guys if the question in my title is right. I would appreciate any idea out there. It's been two days now that I don't have a good sleep. I don't know if it is the effect of the antibiotic that I took a couple of days ago for my cough and cold. Or maybe because my hubby is snoring to loud that I could not sleep. I can transfer to the other two rooms but I rather stay in our sleeping room. Back to my title. I heard from some friends that one way of losing weight is having inadequate sleep. I don't know if I agree with this because what I know is that lack of sleep is not good for our body. I even read in the internet that those people who always go to sleep early have more life span compared to those who go to sleep late. I also read a lot in the internet that taking the best fat burners will help you lose excess weight. What you choose now? having inadequate sleep to lose weight or taking the best fat burners? It's up to you to decide!

WW#52 The Water Well

I find this well very interesting. This was taken again in Kallmuenz, a small town near our place. You can also see in the background the Vils River that flows around this town. We sometimes go to this place for sightseeing or go walking around. We even sit down to the banks near the river and watch some small fishes or ducks swimming in it. Happy Wordless Wednesday!

Suffering in Silence "Again"

Hi everyone! I hope you are all doing great! I am not really feeling good until now. I have a running nose that runs how many kilometers till now.hehehe! but see I can still manage to smile..wink! My cold started last night. I don't know why..or maybe the sudden change of weather again. Yesterday was a very warm sunny day and suddenly last night the rain start pouring again. Until now, it is still showering a bit and the sky is gray....typical weather in Germany. I don't know but I already consumed two boxes of tissues for my nose. TF#2- Pink Petunia in Our Garden

happy Monday everyone! My TF post is quite late but better late than never. Life has been so busy last weekend. Now I am sharing a petunia flower fresh from our garden. It is still wet as I took a picture last Friday. Flowers are always beautiful!

Petunia is a trumpet shaped, widely-cultivated genus of flowering plants of South American origin, in the family Solanaceae. The popular flower got its name from French, which took the word petun 'tobacco' from a Tupi-Guarani language. Most of the varieties seen in gardens are hybrids (Petunia x hybrida).

Today's Flower#42- Beautiful Guzmania

This blog is joining Today's Flower meme. Congratulation! Although this is it's first time to join, I still put the TF#42. Thanks to Luiz and company for hosting this very beautiful meme..as beautiful as the flowers that all participants share. feel free to join..simply click the logo below.

I have here a photo of a Guzmania, a family of the Bromeliad plants..isn't it lovely? I grew thousands of Bromeliads before but since I left home, I already sold it... some were left to my sisters. I hope to take photos of it once I go home this year.
Guzmania is a genus of epiphytes, the guzmanias. Several species of this genus are cultivated as indoor and outdoor garden plants. The best known is Guzmania lingulata (scarlet star) which bears orange and red bracts.

Guzmanias die after a plant has produced its flowers in summer, but new plants can easily be propagated from the offsets which appear as the parent plant dies. They are epiphytes and can do well if tied on to pieces of bark with roots bound into sphagnum moss.

Guzmanias require warm temperatures and relatively high humidity. The sac fungus Bipolaris sorokiniana (anamorph of Cochliobolus sativus) and others can cause fatal root rot in plants of this genus if the roots get too wet and cold. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Guzmania

I guess I don't know the name of these lovely flowers...any ideas out there are very much appreciated...just don't have time to browse in my paper cut-outs..

Have a Safe and happy Weekend!

I just wish each and everyone a safe and happy weekend! Before I sign-off for tonight, I am sharing this joke to stretch the muscles in your face! Thanks to arcamax for sharing this. Have fun everyone!

"Dumb Jock

The huge college freshman figured he'd try out for the football team. "Can you tackle?" asked the coach.

"Watch this," said the freshman, who proceeded to run smack into a telephone pole, shattering it to splinters.

"Wow," said the coach. "I'm impressed. Can you run?"

"Of course I can run," said the freshman. He was off like a shot, and in just over nine seconds, he had run a hundred yard dash.

"Great!" enthused the coach. "But can you pass a football?"

The freshman rolled his eyes, hesitated for a few seconds. "Well, sir," he said, "if I can swallow it, I can probably pass it."
