Planning for Home Improvement This Year

Living in a little cozy home simply and happily, what else can you ask for? It might not be the dream home of everybody but we are glad that we have a home that we can call our home. The greatest things is, we are no longer paying for home mortgage and we are really grateful for it. It is our dream to be debt-free when we retire in the future.

This is quite an old home,  where we are currently living. This is the reason why we are trying to renovate and improve it from time to time, especially when finances are available.  During the past years, we already did some renovations and improvements and like what I mentioned, that is when money is available.

This year, we are planning to do a finishing outside of the house. After that, we will also paint it all around.  Since it will be a DIY or  "Do It Yourself"  project, I believed this will help us save some money especially for the labor cost.  We are already scouting for the color of the paint and hopefully,  we will finally decide for it soon.

We are planning to start this project this coming summer season, when the weather gets  better and friendlier.Good luck to us!

Professional Gifts for the Professional Man

No, you cannot get him a tie again this year. No, he has enough blazers. This year, when your favorite business professional’s birthday rolls around, consider getting him a present that is both fitting and original. From a new leather tote bag to ways to help him stay organized, listed below are several ideas for gifts he is sure to love.

Personalized Items In years past you may have given him something that seems a little “cold” (like a gift card, which is great but doesn’t exactly have a personal touch). This year, warm it up with customization. For example, you could get him a portfolio with his name or initials. They might enjoy a new nameplate for their desk. Other items you could tastefully personalize include:
  • Business card holders
  • Eyeglass cases
  • Tablet or phone covers

Many business professionals have to hit the road from time to time, even if that just means the morning commute.

Hello March, Goodbye February!

We are having a perfect winter weather at the moment. For some, it might not be perfect due to lack of snow. I don't need snow anymore and besides when it is not snowing, it is less work. We don't need to clean our pathway and garage. It is not so cold which also means less heating bills. yeey!  Indeed, we are having mild winter months this year.

Blue sky on a winter day in Germany. I love this weather with sunshine!
February will be ending so soon! In some hours, central European time, I will already bid goodbye to this so-called "Love month". I hope you find your true love if ever you were looking for it. lolz! For those who celebrated it with their love ones or sweethearts, I hope you had a memorable one. I also hope that you got what present you wish for last Valentine's Day.

I thought February was not really a good one for me but thanks God, the past days were better. I am thankful for all the blessings.

I am slowly and gladly welcoming the third month of the year in both the Julian and Gregorian calendars which is March. Honestly, I am getting more excited now. Another great travel is about to come. I even have sleepless nights sometimes thinking of this travel.

I just wish that each and everyday is a blissful one for me, my family and friends and for everyone. I am still hoping that my wishes will continue to come true. I am always praying for good health especially for my family and myself. For me, this is the most important treasure we can have.

Lastly, a wonderful and great month of March to come for us all! Take care everyone and God bless!

I  just can't wait for spring to come!  Cheers!

Buying In Bulk: Sunscreen For Large Groups

You've undoubtedly purchased sunscreen in sleek tubes when you venture to the beach or pool, but all day protection takes more than just a basic tube. For large groups, such as camps and schools, sunscreen is essential for every participant each day. Buying retail sunscreen will cost the business substantial money, but there is a solution with large sunscreen orders. Bulk sunscreen allows you to offer ample coverage for all participants, especially if they forget their own tube at home.

Quarts For Smaller Groups

If you have several small groups each month for weekend nature camps, for example, try purchasing sunscreen in quart size. You can dispense it to smaller bottles, if desired, or simply keep the quart in a common area for use by all.

Cabinets For Organizing The Garage

When families want to make the most of their garage and get their lives organized, they must have hardware that is going to match the garage, help to organize it and make the garage look great. When people are guests in the house, they will be able to enjoy the garage and find anything they need once it has been stored in the garage. Using the garage in every instance where the family needs storage opens up many more spaces in the home for sleeping, sitting and studying.

When the family wants to change the way that they garage is utilized, they can have large cabinet sets set up against every wall to hold all the things that previously were laying on the floor or stacked in the corners. Rather than trying to put items on shelves and rearranging everything, cabinet sets make it very easy for the homeowners to add storage to the garage that is not necessarily built into the wall.

Listening to Music While Driving

I should be driving my car to the car repair shop last Monday. I told the owner of the shop that I still need it for grocery shopping and to run some errands to the next town.

The door at the passenger's side at the back of the driver's side was damaged and it needs immediate repair. A woman hit my car when she was backing up. That time, I parked my car in front of our town hall. When I was inside, a lady went up and was looking for somebody. I even greeted her "good morning". She went to one of the office rooms  inside the town hall and asked who the owner of the car is. One employee asked me if that was my car. Yes, it is and so does the story goes. I am glad that she was honest enough to  find me and told me about   the incident and the damage she  did in m car.

Wherever I drive, I always turn-on the FM radio or the CD player to hear some music. I don't install a ddj sx n in my car besides I just need a CD player to listen to my favorite songs. I love listening to any songs while enjoying the scenery around our area.

When I drove home that day after the incident, I was just smiling   and so thankful that there are still good people around who are willing to shoulder their responsibility.  I am also thankful that I always arrived home safely after driving anywhere.

Aspiring Singer and Performer

I am trying to think of my most favorite singers. Well, I am not really "in" to these kind of songs by Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and some other young singers and artist. I also don't like the way they are acting. As young people in the entertainment industry, they should be models for young people instead of showing bad influences. I guess, you know what I mean by this if you are reading the news about them.

I am an aspiring singer and performer as well. I am already happy when I can perform during family affairs and celebrations like birthdays, singing the karaoke..haha! I can also sing very good when I am cooking or in the bathroom taking a bath. lolz!

Emergency Visit to the Eye Doctor

When emergency arises,  the best thing to do is to consult the professional or experts immediately.  This needs to be done as soon as possible especially if your health is at risk.

I don't exactly know what happened  the other day. I just had a walk for around two  hours in our area, went home and at night,  I already had a problem with my left  eye. It started to get  itchy after our walk last Sunday. At  night, I was already rubbing it and I guess it  was  irritated.  I thought it was only a pimple that grew in my eyelid but yesterday  it became bigger.

I applied a cream last night  for infection hoping it will get better  when I woke up this morning but  it is still swollen.  After taking my breakfast today, I decided to go to the eye doctor immediately to ask for medication.  He  gave me a prescription. This eyedrop is an  antibiotic and I  need to apply it four times a day.  I hope  my swollen eye will get better soon.

I actually asked the doctor what it was but he said my eye has a sort of infection. He cannot really explain exactly what it is. While searching online,  I can probably say, this is called a stye.

According to wikipedia,   "a stye is an infection of the sebaceous glands of Zeis at the base of the eyelashes, or an infection of the apocrine sweat glands of Moll. External styes form on the outside of the lids and can be seen as small red bumps. Styes are most commonly caused by the blocking of an oil gland at the base of the eyelash. Although they are particularly common in teenagers, styes are experienced by people of all ages. Styes can be triggered by poor nutrition, sleep deprivation, lack of hygiene, lack of water, and rubbing of the eyes".

I guess that is all for now.   I  am trying  my best to go to bed  earlier now to practice a better and healthier life. I can probably avoid having a stye by  going to bed earlier. Cheers and stay happy and healthy all the time.
