Garden Clean-up is Almost ready!

Thanks to the good weather the past days. Also big thanks to the good man in the house who helped me with the garden clean-up. Almost everything is ready now for the coming winter. Flowers pots and some garden decors were already put in the storage.

Since the leaves falling from trees are still not over, we will wait a bit  to clean-up everything. Hopefully before the end of October, everything will be done. Before that, I still need to check reid for some hardware stuffs we need and also some garden tools I need for spring time. I know I can find a lot of these stuffs online.  Thanks to my laptop and internet connection, shopping at home is very convenient now.

Cheers and enjoy your weekend!

Our Double Purpose Garage- The Making

It was quite a tough project. We have been planning it since 2005 and finally last 2011 we started this project. I can't imagine the hard work exerted by hubby during the making of our double purpose patio/garage. It is almost 60 square meters and it cost some fortune, but we are happy that it is finally done now.
Our double purpose garage is also use as a patio.
The most difficult part of the making was the removal of the previous patio, the digging of the soil and the laying of the foundation. Since our old patio has thick concrete flooring and it is not level to our home floor plan, we actually hired a company for the excavation and waterproofing process. If you are living in Canada, you can hire waterproofing ottawa to do this services for you. I believed they can truly help you with any home and garden projects.

Since hubby is also a mason and knows a lot about home repairs and improvement, he did most of the jobs during the building of our patio/garage.  During his off days from work, he spent his  time  doing this project.

We also use this area  for any events and  celebrations like birthday parties or simply getting-together with friends.
We planned everything during the building of this project. The materials to use, the roofing, sidings and   flooring were  planned ahead. After over a year  of building it,  we already harvested the fruit of our labors now. No more cleaning of snow during winter times, no more standing  on the rain after putting out grocery items from inside the car.  The best thing is during summer times, we can  drink and enjoy a cup of coffee outside while chit-chatting.

We are truly  happy with this home improvement we did two years ago. It  cost a lot of money but it was all worth it.

Wanting to Be a Successful Travel Blogger?

I believed I am already a successful travel blogger. Having been to over 30 countries and still counting, there are some things you must consider on how to become a successful travel blogger. Here are the very important points;

First you have got to remember – before becoming a travel blogger or starting a travel blog, you should first become a regular and passionate traveler. In other case there is no point writing about stuff you didn't experienced yourself. Then go buy yourself a good camera and keep looking for unusual photo opportunities. Don't forget to write about everything you see and experiences in your journal. Yes  you read it right, because sometimes we travel to places with no wifi (there are places witn no internet in this world). Our memory is not a computer, so its better to write it down and then upload to the blog.

Hello Autumn!

I gladly  say goodbye summer because I can already breath the fresh autumn  air! It is finally here! Our calendar  tells me   that today is  officially the beginning of autumn season. Our American and Canadian friends call it  "fall".

This is one of my favorite time of the year because the surrounding gets  very attractive and colourful. The leaves of the trees turn  to yellow, orange, brown, red, pinkish, gold and other lovely colors you can imagine! I simply love the coloured autumn foliage!

During fall season, the temperature gets slowly cold especially during the night. The days are shorter and the nights get slowly longer. This is also the time when we need to slowly get ready for cold winter.

No matter what season it is we are having at the moment, we should learn to enjoy the beauty that nature has given us!  Enjoy this beautiful autumn season! I will surely do!

"The word autumn comes from the Old French word autompne (automne in modern French), and was later normalised to the original Latin word autumnus. There are rare examples of its use as early as the 12th century, but it became common by the 16th century."

Wonderful Vacation in Las Vegas

Las Vegas vacation is over! It happened twice and I am glad that I was there for the second time! It has been my dream to visit this famous entertainment city in the United States and I am happy and contented when it did finally came true.

Las Vegas has been the dream destination of many guests and tourists from around the world. Being nicknamed as the Entertainment Capital of the World, there are really a lot of things that will entertain you there. From concerts to musical shows, events, bars, discos, games, museums, rides, circus show, and more.  Just name it and you can have everything in Las Vegas.

Las Vegas Strip during my second visit last 2012.
If you are visiting Las Vegas, you will feel like you are touring around the world. For example, if you are in Caesars Palace, you will feel like visiting Rome. Luxor Las Vegas will make you feel like you are in ancient Thebes, now Luxor in Egypt due to its architecture. Another great hotel resort is MGM Grand where you can experience a lot including the famous Cirque du Soleil.

I had a wonderful time when I was in Las Vegas. I did not only had a bonding with my siblings but also enjoyed the many entertainments I experience there. I also met once again my good friends and had fun with them.

More on that, I love watching the free shows in Las Vegas including the Dancing Fountain in Bellagio, the Pirates of the Caribbean in Treasure Island or TI and the Volcano at the Mirage.

Some of my favorite hotels where I always go for a walk or window shopping are MGM Grand, Aria, New York New York, Monte Carlo, Planet Hollywood, the Venetian, Paris and more.

I wish to go back there again in the future. I am missing Las Vegas and my siblings there.

Friday Etcetera!

Time truly flies so fast now! I hope the clock runs  a bit slower so that I don't  get old so fast too! Just kidding folks!  The past  days has been quite busy. I was doing some clean-up after  my thanksgiving birthday celebration.  It was so far the biggest party I held compared to the ones I hosted  the past years. I am glad that it went all good and I  believed all of the guests and visitors were happy.

Today, I  did some clean-up and organizing at home. I guess,  this is one of the home chores that will never end. I was cleaning the messy guest room. My stuffs were scattered in that room including  travel books and flyers, shoes, clothes, bedding  and  a lot more. I am still not done because at the same time, I was checking some important things online.

I am glad that I already started the organization today. I know  this is always a repetitive tasks but it is better that doing  nothing  at home.  This is one of the things that gets  rid  of my boredom. With  the many offline  and online tasks that are waiting for me,  I am thankful that  they always  keep me busy all the time!

Since August is almost ending, I would like to extend my wishes to everyone, a wonderful and more blessed month of September! Cheers!

Happy weekend too and goodnight!
