Oktoberfest 2009 Is Almost Here!

Nobody can stop the famous and biggest festival in the world! Oktoberfest in Munich is almost here! This year's celebration will start this coming Saturday September 19 and will last until October 4, 2009. This will be a lot of fun again! I'll see you there! TF- Calluna Vulgaris or Common Heather or Heidekraut

I finally bought some Calluna Vulgaris plants. It is called Besenheide or Heidekraut in German. The other names are also Common Heather or Ling. It belong to the family Ericaceae. This flower is very famous as ornamental plants. I am happy to bought some of them. That's all for now guys! It's time for me to sign-off! Morning has broken again!

German American Festival in Hohenfels, Bavaria

Every year the US Army base in Hohenfels is inviting all German people to come and celebrate with them the so-called German American Volksfest. It is a kind of festival that is celebrated every month-end of April until the first week of May. Sometimes it last for a week but I think this year, it only last for five days. It is always a lot of fun visiting festivals like this! I love it! I also rode in that ferris wheel as we went there. This is my MYM post! take care everyone!

Weekend is almost ending in Europe! I hope you had a great one! I guess tomorrow is an American Holiday called the Labor Day. I wish all Americans who will be celebrating it a happy and safe holiday!

My Sister's Travel Insurance was Cancelled

We wrote a letter last month to the company where we ordered a travel insurance for my sister who want to visit Europe. We cancelled it because the tourist visa application of my sister to Germany was denied by the German Embassy in Manila. I will tell you the whole story in my Travel and Explore Germany site. We all know the importance of medical travel because we don't know what will happen during our trip. I always do the same. Every time I go for vacation, I always see to it that I have a travel insurance to protect me in times of emergency. I would suggest that you better get one before you travel. Life is full of uncertainties! I'll see you again tomorrow for more updates! take care everyone and stay safe all the time!
