Bible Verses

Seek Him in Prayer!

Delight yourself in Him and pray! Surely then you will find delight in the Almighty and will lift up your face to God. You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows.
Job 22:26,27 NIV
______________

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
John 15:7,8 KJV
______________

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him!
Matthew 7:11 NASB
______________

Thanks be unto God for his wonderful gift: Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God is the object of our faith; the only faith that saves is faith in Him.

Am I in Ktown?

Did I said before that I am in Kaiserslautern now??? well anyway, my exact location is Ramstein-Miesenbach. It's one of the small town in Kaiserslautern. Today we went to the US Base but unfortunately only till the gate. You know why?? Simply because my friend cannot sign me in because my passport and German ID is still in process. What I only have is a driver's license and my Social Security ID. They don't honor it for Identification anyway. even I also have a copy of my German citizenship certificate.

So for those who have American friends who want to go inside the US Base, you must always have to have your Passport or Citizenship ID's so you can be signed in. So what we did instead was to drive around Kaiserslautern or Ktown, as being called by the Americans. We went a bit shopping in some German shops in Landstuhl. It's not too far anyway from Ktown and Ramstein.

Since it was already almost 6pm as we went home, we then ate our dinner with friends. So I guess today is a Good day!!! Hope you got the same!!! Wish you all a nice evening!!!

Bible Readings

New Year New Song!
"Behold, I will do something new, Now it will spring forth; Will you not be aware of it? I will even make a roadway in the wilderness, Rivers in the desert. The beasts of the field will glorify Me, The jackals and the ostriches, Because I have given waters in the wilderness And rivers in the desert, To give drink to My chosen people. The people whom I formed for Myself Will declare My praise." Isaiah 43:19-21 NASB

A New Beginning

Eight is the number of new beginnings. Each eight days a new week begins. No matter what mess-ups are on your credit record,in the eighth year it is wiped clean. For any unprosecuted crime except murder, in the eighthyear it passes the seven year statue of limitations and youcannot be tried for it. Each four times seven, (28 days) new life is prepared for in awoman's body. This year is a new beginning for YOU, for all of us. adapted from mountainwings

CELEBRATION OF NEW YEAR'S EVE IN GERMANY

New Year's Eve in Germany is highlighted by fantastic pyrotechnic displays, lots of Sect (similar to Champagne but much cheaper) and celebrations in the streets. Celebrating a German New Year's Eve can range from watching the fireworks and the movie "Dinner for One"or going to a gala ball. Silvester, as New Year's Eve in Germany is called, is not a night to sleep as fireworks are the order of the day and people shoot off their own fireworks as well as joining to watch the public displays.

The German New Years Customs are not all that different then elsewhere in the Western world, but there are a few variances that make a German New Year's Eve delightful regardless of where in Germany you are.

Hope everyone had a great time last night celebrating New year!!!

Great New Year!!!

We just had a great time last night celebrating New Year. Spending it with friends was also very great. My friend prepared a lot of food. We watched the fireworks last night too even it was cold outside. My friend's neighbor displayed a lot of fireworks which entertained us. We also made videoke singing while drinking red wine. I will try to post the pictures next time once I go back home..

Today we also went a little bit walking around the the village where my friend live. It was very peaceful, so I guess the people are still sleeping being tired from last night's celebration. I won't stay too long here. Wishing you again a great New Year. Hope you got some fun too!!!

Message for Daily Living

Positive Trivia Zig Ziglar
From time to time, I like to share with my readers thought-provoking quotes or sayings that are designed to encourage us to think and take action. Here are a few. They come from both me and some people from whom I have learned: I often say:
When you discipline yourself to do the things you need to do when you need to do them, the day will come when you can do the things you want to do when you want to do them. "

A negative attitude is as deadly to your job search or career as the most potent virus. Build up your immune system by focusing on your daily objectives. When someone else's negative attitude 'coughs in your face,' walk away -- don't get infected." -- Marvin Walberg "Integrity is the glue that holds our way of life together."

-- Billy Graham Thanksgiving really is a good day to set aside time to say "thank you," but according to Shannon Pollack, we should say it every day. He wisely notes that "the absence of thankfulness does not mean that we are merely ungrateful. It means that we are missing the thrill of appreciation and pleasure." "When you play, play hard. When you work, don't play at all."

-- Theodore Roosevelt I often tell people that others can give you pleasure, but you never will be happy until you do things for other people. Thomas Jefferson wrote in a letter dated Dec. 25, 1813, to John Quincy Adams: "Philosophy looks with an impartial eye on all terrestrial religions. I have examined all as well as my narrow sphere, my straightened means and my busy life would allow me, and the result is that the Bible is the best book in the world. It contains more of my little philosophy than all the libraries I have seen, and such parts of it I cannot possibly reconcile to my little philosophy I postpone for future investigation."
It has been said often -- by me and by countless others -- that when you do more than you are paid to do, the day will come when you will be paid more for what you do. I encourage you not only to read but also to reread those thoughts, and apply them to your daily life. If you do, I'll see you at the top!
