DIY with Our Furnace Maintenance

What furnace do you use during winter time? Do you often do some maintenance and cleaning to your furnace? Don't you know that cleaning and maintaining of  your heating system  is very necessary from time to time?

Whether you are using an electric heater, gas heater, wood pellets stove or using a fireplace in heating your homes  during winter time, all these furnaces must be cleaned and maintained regularly. Whether you do it yourself or hire the experts from heating montreal, all these maintenance must be done.

I am glad that there is someone at home who is an expert with regards to home maintenance  and repairs such as plumbing, car maintenance, heating maintenance and the like. With our "do it ourselves" motto, believe me, we already save a lot of money when any problems or repairs are needed to be done at home. Thanks to DH who is an expert with all of these stuffs.

To all my friends who are living in Montreal, Canada,  who needs assistance in terms of heating repairs and maintenance, you are always welcome to contact the experts from climatisation montrĂ©al. Don't wait too long until your heating system breaks down. The earlier you contact them, the better it is for your heating system to be diagnosed and repaired. Let them do the action to solve your problem.

Keep warm during this cold winter season!

Furnace Maintenance Especially During Winter

I just look at our window and found out that snow flakes are currently falling from the sky. This is the sign that winter is finally here! If you are having winter season in your area, for sure your heaters or furnaces are currently turned-on now  or else you will be freezing due to cold temperature inside your home.

Winter is the time of the year when the temperature gets really very cold. This is also the time of the year when our heaters are on. Whether you are using a fireplace, wood pellets stove, oil  heater, gas heater or electric heater, all of these furnaces require maintenance from time to time.

View from  one of our windows during winter.
In countries like Canada and the United States, there are companies who offers services like furnace cleaning and maintaining. For example if you are living in Calgary, furnace cleaners calgary are willing to offer their help and services in order for your furnaces to work the whole winter season.

We have to admit that we need their services especially in this cold winter season. Another thing is, air duct and furnace cleaning is very important for our health and safety and in maintaining the air quality in our homes.

Now, I understand why the chimney man who wears black clothes comes to our home from now and then, to clean and maintain the air duct and the  furnace. Don't miss to call furnace cleaning calgary if you need their help. For sure, they can always assist you in many aspects of cleaning especially for your furnaces.

I am loving the warm inside our home. For me, 18 degrees Celsius is already a perfect temperature!  Our wood pellet stove is truly a wealth during winter time. Sometimes, when the temperature gets really very cold, we are also turning our electric heaters on.

Keep warm and healthy during cold winter season!

Hey, I looked again outside and found out that everything is white now! Hello winter!

We Are Ready for Winter, Are You?

I was talking with a friend during our trip to Czech Republic yesterday about the earliest snow I experienced since I live in Europe. I told her that the earliest snow I experienced  in this continent  was last 2012.  The  snow started to fall on  October 28 last year. This year,  the snow came quite later. The first snow fall happenned last November 26  in our area but  it did not lasted for so long.

Our wood pellet oven.
I am happy to say that we are ready for winter. The winter tires in our two cars are already installed. We already ordered 4 pallets of wood pellets for our pellet stove. This is already too much for this winter but we are making it sure that we have enough supplies for our heating furnace. Our wood pellet stove is running 24 hours a day since November. With this very cold winter season in Europe, it is very important that our home is keep warm and comfortable all day long. We are also using electric heaters but we only turn it on when the temperature gets really very cold.

Before winter comes, homeowners must be aware to check their heating system. Some are only checking it at the time they needed it. This is the time when the weather turns cold and they need to turn-on their heaters. For some who don't have a problem with their heaters during the past winters, that is fine but for some who are having frequent problems with it, they must see to it that it is being check before winter comes.

I suggest you take a look at this very interesting page,  HomeServe USA Facebook, as they are always sharing updates and topics about Home Heating Preparedness, Home Tips and most especially topics about electrical, plumbing and HVAC solutions. You can also visit their website for more information especially about  their  services.

I learn a lot of things while browsing their posts  in their facebook page. You will  surely know a lot  with regards to home tips  and guides. I bookmarked their page for  reference in the future.

It's Getting Cold Again!

Winter is  back!  Did someone ordered a lot of snow again? I never order one  because I don't need snow anymore.  Just kidding  folks. We  are having a winter wonderland again!   This is Europe and winter season  is normal here. There are countries in Europe that are having subtropical weathers and I believed they really don't have a bad winter like in Germany.

Winter in Lupburg, Germany, where my friend lives.

To keep yourself warm, be sure to wear warm winter clothes and accessories especially when you go out of the house. I don#t complain of the cold outside because I already have enough winter clothing.

Beautiful But Dangerous

If you are my friend in facebook, you might probably know all the messages I posted in my FB wall. I am not talking about a person who is beautiful but dangerous here. I am careful when talking about that. Lessons were learned from the pass until now. Sometimes you cannot trust a person and it is better to keep things by myself unless otherwise when my duty obliged me to do so.

I am actually talking about snow here. Yesterday, when I went shopping in the nearby town, the weather was quite good when I left home. The snow was still not so hard. On my way home, the snow gets harder and the streets were already filled with snow. I really tried my best to drive carefully but sometimes when you are up and down on a hill filled with snow, you can't avoid to slip.

the road  I passed yesterday. It was all filled with  snow. Winter time is beautiful but sometimes it is just too dangerous.
Winter tired really don't help all the time especially when the road is icy ans slippery. I am thankful that I arrived home safely. I heard over the news this morning that there were around a thousand of accidents that happened during the snow fall yesterday. That is quite sad.

To everyone out there, I am just reminding you to be extra careful when driving during snow time. There is no better driver when it comes to it. Take care and be safe!

It's Snowing in Bavaria

Perfect timing! My car  has its  winter tires on now! This is one a must-to-do before snow comes. This morning when I woke-up and looked at the window, the surroundings are already white.  Snow is already here! It was a combination of snow and rain and really good for driving.

I should go for grocery shopping today but cancelled it  due to the bad weather. I  might go tomorrow. If it is not really very important, I always avoid driving and going elsewhere. Continuous snowing is not really good. Good things is, the roads and highways in Germany are being cleaned from time to time by government workers who are assigned in road repair and maintenance.

I guess this is the time to hibernate...Oh well, I still have a lot of things to do offline. I hope I can finish most of it tomorrow.  Besides, I need to put my Christmas decors on.

Goodbye Winter!

I just posted and image of tulip flower in my previous entry here. This is one of the signs that winter is finally over. Nobody tells the tulips to grow on spring time. It is Mother Nature who does it all every spring season. And who told Mother Nature to do it? I believed you have an idea.

Since spring is finally here, there are a lot of things that I plan and want to do. One of it is doing the garden work. If the weather will get better I also would like to do more walking and hiking. I cannot wait for the lovegra results to come since I don't really take it. It is better for me to have more outdoor activities this year and to watch carefully my diet to get lose of my excess weight.

Lastly, I am finally saying goodbye to winter this year. All that were left for me are the images I took during this season and one of it is the one that I posted here. Isn't it a wonderful scene also? Happy spring time to all!

It's Snowing in Neumarkt!

Thank goodness that we really don't have snow in our area. But be very careful because the streets are also dangerous especially when it get frozen and icy during the night. This is what they call black ice. I heard over the radio this morning that there were a lot of accidents in Bavaria due to icy road and highways. My friends are also telling the same.

I did not really see a lot of snow in our area but in the nearby towns, I witnessed it last December 2011. As we drove to Neumarkt, a municipality in Upper Palatinate, Bavaria it was snowing a bit. You can see it in my snapshot below. Not too much snow but when the weather is rainy and snowy, better be careful when driving particularly early in the morning. Most streets become icy and slippery. Drive safely folks especially to all my friends in Bavaria.

Cold Winter in Germany

Hello folks! Just giving you some updates before I slowly start packing my stuffs. It seems November is also ending. We will be welcoming another wonderful month of December. This also means the start of winter season in Germany. Since October until now, the weather is getting really cold. That is also the reason why I already put-out my winter clothes and other winter accessories. I am planning to buy a heated clothing to keep me warm especially during cold cold nights. Our heater is also running since October. We are using an electric heater and pellet oven as well. The latter is running 24-hours a day to keep the whole house warm. I am quite use with very cold winter weather in Germany. As long as you are using the right winter clothes, you will never get frozen outside.

Here is an image taken somewhere in Schwarzwald or Black Forest in Germany.

Beautiful Winter in Bavaria

The sun is shining outside.
But I still remember the last beautiful winter,
When the surroundings were all white and snowy.
But I am very glad and thankful,
That spring time finally came,
And soon lovely summer too!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Saying Goodbye to Winter

Good morning Europe! Good day everyone! We are having sunshine again. I guess spring is fast approaching. I noticed yesterday, while looking on our garden, that the tulips are slowly growing. I hope we can finally say goodbye to winter. I don't need it right now. I can't wait to see the flowers in our garden again. I am quite excited to go gardening soon. Thanks God for the very nice weather today!

I am saying goodbye to winter. No more snow please. Here is an image taken last December 2010. I also wish everyone a beautiful and wonderful month of March.

snow time last December 2010.. such a fairytale scene but I want to say goodbye to winter now. Take care folks. I'll see you later again. Off to a Fasching or carnival in a nearby city.

No More Snow Please

Honestly, I don't need snow anymore. The snow especially last December was already too much. I am just happy that the weather is getting better. I mean, not snowing anymore from the past weeks. Some places in Germany are still experiencing snow but not in our place.

Here is one of the images I took the other week.

I was driving back home when I took this image. I miss the warm weather now. We had sunshine when this photo was taken but the weather was still cold that time.

Scary Driving in Winter Wonderland

It is truly scary driving during winter season. The past snowy days hundreds of people driving on the streets and highways in Germany had accidents. Yesterday the weather was so bad again. It was snowing the whole day. It was my first time to drive on this very bad weather. Can you imagine the street below where you will be driving? I have no choice because I have to drive hubby to the hospital for his check-up. Sad to say, I forgot to ask one doctor about Lipofuze. On the other hand, I was grateful because we returned home safe and in good health. Hubby had a check-up because of his broken bone on the wrist. You know why it was broken? He had an accident last week in the work. He was slide on the snow and he is thankful that his hip did not hit the ground first. He was quite sad about his situation because he said that he better go to work than feeling half disabled. Accidents just happened sometimes. That is also the reason that we have to be very careful especially when driving and walking on snow.

Not Another Snowy Winter Skies in Bavaria

"Snow drops like cotton balls outside.
It makes the surroundings gray and sad.
Its truly a cold and freezing weather now.
But always remember,
there is always beauty in winter time."
Ruby Benz

It is still snowing outside right now. I thought the spring time is almost coming but here comes snow again. The picture was taken last Sunday as we took a walk in our place. The day before we took our walk, it was snowing so hard but during the next day, you can already see the blue sky and the white surroundings. Since yesterday it was also snowing...Now we have a lot of snow again.

You can also see the tower of the castle ruins in Hohenfels from afar. Have a great and blessed weekend in advance to everyone!

It's So early to have Snow!

I can't believed it that we have experience snowing in our place at this very early time. Imagine snowing in October! As far as I can remember, last year's snow starts at the end of November. There are also some places in Germany that experience snowing since last week. This is the photo I took from our window today. Our garden looks sad now. Most of the flowers are fading. I even bought new winter plants yesterday and planted it too. I am happy that I already cut leaves of that pine trees that you see here and covered some of the perennial plants in our garden. It's time to wear warm winter clothes now! take care folks and stay safe all the time!

All friends out there, be careful in driving especially during winter time. I heard since yesterday over the radio that some people died due to car accident because of this weather. Drive slowly but surely!
