Hoover Dam in Nevada, USA

Good day folks! It seems that yesterday was April but we are all now in the month of May. It is currently raining in our place which make the weather a bit cold. My garden is happy again to have some fresh rainwater. I am not happy because the snails are also eating the leaves of my plants and flowers. I just can't stop them. I hope to go to the garden center this week to stop these snails.

Here are two pictures I took from Hoover Dam taken during my vacation to the United States two years ago. This is an amazing work of engineering and architecture! Respect to the engineers, workers, planners and supporters of this huge dam.
Hoover Dam, once known as Boulder Dam, is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the U.S. states of Arizona and Nevada. When completed in 1936, it was both the world's largest hydroelectric power generating station and the world's largest concrete structure. It was surpassed in both these respects by the Grand Coulee Dam in 1945. It is currently the world's 38th-largest hydroelectric generating station.

Inambakan Falls in Cebu Province, Philippines

Inambakan Falls is located in Ginatilan in the province of Cebu, Philippines. We had an adventure in this place because we really don't know where is the right way to go there but we finally found it. It was a very nice place specially the big waterfalls which they said is around 30 meters high. I was impressed during our visit last Feb. 2010.
The picture above is one of the small falls in Inambakan.

The picture below is a big waterfall. I just took a photo on part of it where the basin can be seen. It is a very nice place to go on picnic or simply visit for relaxing and sightseeing.

This fountain in front of Manila Cathedral has a bronze monument of Spain's Carlos IV which is said to be erected in 1824. This fountain is located in the formerly called Plaza mayor but since 1961, it is named Plaza de Roma honor the Sacred College of Cardinals in Rome following the elevation of the first Filipino cardinal, Rufino J. Santos.

This was taken during my vacation in the Philippines last January 2010.

At The Beach

Just sharing this pictures for the wonderful memes today. This was taken during my vacation in my home country. We still need to clean this beach of ours by removing those big stones. It is quite dangerous especially for the kids when they go swimming. Good evening to all!

WW: Danube River in Regensburg, bavaria

Have you seen the longest River in European Union? If not I would like to show part of it to you. Danube River is the second longest river in Europe next to Volga. It is called Donau in German. The one I have in the picture below was taken in Regensburg in the state of Bavaria, Germany. This was taken last September 2009 when we went to witness one of its festival called Herbstdult. You can even see the Ferris wheel in the picture and the tower of the famous landmark of Regensburg, the St. Stephen's Cathedral or the St. Stephansdom in German. Have fun watching the picture.

The Fountain Inside Ballys Hotel, Las Vegas

I can't believe that I can visit the city which is the dream of most people to see. I was in Las Vegas last year. Imagine a two months vacation in the US. I took the photo of this Fountain inside Ballys Hotel. I miss this place where we always hang-out to watch my cousin performs. My cousin Ann is a very good singer and entertainer. I am hoping to visit it next year to also see my sister once again.

Visit to Eremitage in Bayreuth

We visited Eremitage, a castle in Bayreuth last August. They also have a very nice garden there. This water pond you see in my photo is also found in the castle. I wish to go back there again to see more around. We just spend some hours there and it is not enough for looking around. That's me in the photo! Goodnight for now!

It's WW Time

Good evening guys! I hope all is well to everyone! HB went home this afternoon and was not feeling good. I guess he got some colds. I let him take some medicine and gave him a good massage and now he is feeling better. Thanks goodness! I hope he will be perfectly fit for work tomorrow. My friend's husband was also sick today and did not reported to his work. We should be going shopping but did not happened because she need to take care of her sick hubby.

I guess I am posting two memes this time! check it out! This was taken last Sunday as we went walking. We happened to pass by in one of the small bridges in our place that is under renovation. They are trying to get all water down the small river called Forrelenbach, so that they can fix the bridge. I should get the whole photo of how they made the bridge and made another way for the water. Maybe this weekend again. I guess that's all for now! take care guys and stay happy and healthy all the time!

WW- Home Sweet HOme

It's almost midnight now. I hope that you had a great start of the month. I believed I had a good one. I am only sad after reading the news in the internet about the calamities that hit some countries in Asia including my beloved Philippines. We live in the middle part of the country in the island of Visayas particularly in Cebu Province. That is the photo that you see here. This is where my family live. It was also hit by big waves last January. Thanks God that my family are safe. A lot of small houses were also washed away by the big waves.

This is the place that I call home. I already found my second home in Europe but Philippines will always be my first home. Home Sweet Home! take care guys!
