Spring Sale

I received a shopping catalog last week. It features spring sale for this year. I found a lot of items on sale including fashion clothing, electronics, furniture, garden decors and many more. I was almost tempted to go shopping but thanks goodness I avoided it.  I especially love all the  spring clothing that are on sale but  I have some other plans for my budget this summer. What would it be? I guess it is a secret for now. Just kidding folks.

I am slowly signing off for now. It was again a long day for me today. Goodnight and enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Happy 20th Birthday Munich Airport

It is actually a belated happy birthday for Munich Airport. Last May 17, 2012 was the 20th birthday of this airport.  I  happened to be there the next day  because I accompanied a friend who picked-up some visitors  coming from the United States.

The airport was so busy that day because tourists from around the world are coming not only for visit but also to witness the final games of the Europe Football League held at  Allianz  Stadium on May 12, 2012. Chelsea London won against FC Bayern Munich.  The football team from London won various trophies and awards after  a lot of winnings including  the European Football League.

May 17, 2012 marked the 20th  building anniversary of Munich airport.

Munich International Airport is located around 28 km away from Munich City. It is the hub for Lufthansa and Star Alliance partner airlines. The airport is named after Franz Josef Strauß, who played a prominent, albeit sometimes controversial role in politics of the Federal Republic of Germany from the 1950s until his death in 1988.

This airport is where I always fly when travelling in Europe and other continents of the world.

Plan to Go Home

It is still not confirmed but I  hope to see my family back home in the Philippines next year. I am still waiting for my sponsors to pay for my trip on that  said vacation. Just kidding volks!  We are really planning to go home again when financial matters are present.
The fantastic view of the sea from our terrace. I miss this place.

My last vacation was  from November 2009 to February 2010.  Quite long huh! I long to see my parents again, my siblings and their children and of course my friends and former classmates. One of my nephews already requested for a jigsaw puzzle as present. I will for sure send some balikbayan boxes again.

The fantastic view of the sea from our terrace. I miss this place.
I  also miss watching the sunset from our terrace and the view of the beautiful  blue sky and blue sea. I hope this wish will come true next year..in God's will! Have a wonderful weekend to all!

Important of Having A Credit Card When You Travel

I am glad that my application for credit card  was approved  two years ago despite being jobless. I just see its importance when I travel. Without it, I won't be able to book flights and hotels online. I really don't have a big amount of credit limit because I just need it for  petty things and some emergencies.  Sometimes swiping this plastic can be addictive when  you always want to use it for nonsense things or stuffs that you really don't need. For those who are having difficulties in paying their debts, I guess it is advisable to have fixed immediate annuities. With this  method, it will help you control and budget your financial  aspect in life.

Sometimes we just need to learn how to control our limits.  If expenses will  exceed income,  it will  result to overdraft, thus giving  headache in  our lives.

Goodbye Winter!

I just posted and image of tulip flower in my previous entry here. This is one of the signs that winter is finally over. Nobody tells the tulips to grow on spring time. It is Mother Nature who does it all every spring season. And who told Mother Nature to do it? I believed you have an idea.

Since spring is finally here, there are a lot of things that I plan and want to do. One of it is doing the garden work. If the weather will get better I also would like to do more walking and hiking. I cannot wait for the lovegra results to come since I don't really take it. It is better for me to have more outdoor activities this year and to watch carefully my diet to get lose of my excess weight.

Lastly, I am finally saying goodbye to winter this year. All that were left for me are the images I took during this season and one of it is the one that I posted here. Isn't it a wonderful scene also? Happy spring time to all!

The Beautiful Church in Freystadt, Bavaria

I was browsing some images this morning and found some photos during our day sightseeing in Freystadt. This town is located in the district of Neumarkt near the Rhine-Main-Danube Canal in Bavaria, Germany. It was one weekend last 2010 when we decided to drive around and visit places nearby.

the beautiful dome of the Mariahilfkirche in Freystadt.

One of the sights we visited in Freystadt was its beautiful church. It is named Mariahilfkirche, called in English as Our Lady of Perpetual Help. We decided to go inside the church and lit some candles. I also took some images from inside which you see below. I was amazed by the carvings and architecture of this building. Some parts of it especially the altar are painted with gold and silver. I am not quite sure if the statues inside were also decorated with Rainbow Obsidian Beads because they also look beautiful.

This Pilgrimage church has High Barouqe architecture. Located nearby is a Franciscan Monastery. I wish to find more information about this church to share in my blogs.

Living a Simple and Stress-free Life

What can you say about the title of my post here? I believed millions of people would love to live a stress-free life. The question is? Can you live a simple life? For me, this is the key to be truly happy, living a simple but happy and contented life. Most of the times stress is caused by having complicated life. Stress is also caused by financial problems like having the inability to pay your debt. I heard a lot of people who are earning enough salary but still cannot manage their financial aspects in life. More on that, they don't have enough knowledge on how to rightfully manage and budget their finances. This is quite simple. Don't spend more than you earn. Lastly, in order to avoid stress, live simply and have contentment in life. Peace!

Driving To Prague

I was invited by friends to go with them to Prague, Czech Republic last summer 2011. I did not hesitate to say yes to them because I also want to see the city for the second time. It is around three to four hours drive from where we live in Bavaria, Germany. I can't remember if my friend's husband installed an suv bike rack on their suv's roof. They have a big 8-seater Honda car which is perfect when many persons are travelling.

Since it was already my second visit to Prague, I showed them some of the sights in this city which are accessible by feet. I hope that my friend's mother-in-law had a great time during her Europe vacation. She lives in the United States of America and had some weeks holiday in Europe last summer 2011.

That road trip to Prague is not that stressful anyway since the roads and highways are in good condition. It was a great trip so far.

Presents for Baby Christening

There are just a lot of births in our area last year. Three of my friends gave birth. One was already christened last December 2011 but we were not there because we were in a trip to Spain. One is already planning for baby christening. This is also the reason why I am looking for a baby gift basket from GiftBaskets.com. I found nice stuffs there which are perfect as presents for baptism. I will buy some once I will be backed home next month. I guess the parents planned to have the baptism sometimes in May this year. I am quite excited about it. Looking for baby presents? There are a lot online and sometimes you are lucky to find cheap ones. Have fun shopping!

Fremont Street Experience

Have you been to Las Vegas? Were you able to have fun in Fremont Street Experience. This downtown side of Las Vegas is a must-to-visit when you are there. The FSE is a pedestrian mall and attraction. I remember during our visit when there were bands playing there and bikers' show and you can watch it for free. The sound system was great. I am wondering if they use a
thunderbolt audio interface in FSE.

I was amazed by the LED display "canopy" that runs along the Fremont Street Experience. This is so far the biggest LED canopy I had ever seen with 220 speakers powered by 550,000 watts of amplification. Can you imagine the sounds it is making! It was really cool visiting this side of Vegas. I truly enjoyed my visit there.

If you want to experience something unique in Las Vegas, don't miss to visit Fremont Street Experience. Here I am during my two months vacation in Las Vegas last 2008.

Fasching, Carnival in Hemau, Bavaria

I was quite lazy going out today because I am not feeling so well. There are a lot of Faschings or carnival parade going around in the nearby towns and villages like in Velburg, Lupburg, Nuremberg, Breitenbrunn, Painten, Toeging and many more. Most of the parades start at 2:00 p.m. I even told some friends that we are not going anywhere because of the cold weather besides I am not also feeling good.

these group of young people had fun dancing and singing during the carnival parade in Hemau today.

At around 1:00 p.m. when I was setting in front of my laptop, hubby knocked at my pc room and asked if I want to watch Fasching in Hemau. I thought he don't want to because he is also sick. I guess he was motivated when he saw the sun shining outside. To make the story short, we went to the Fasching to witness the carnival parade in Hemau.

Since we were almost late, there was no more available parking space near the town center and we parked our car around 500 meters from there. While on our way to the town center, there was this man ahead of us and was smoking a cigar. I am not sure if he was using a hoyo de monterrey cigar. It just came to my mind because it is a famous one.

I believed the celebration was again a success. There were a lot of groups who participated during the parade with different motives and colorful costumes. Various floats with colorful designs can also be seen. We had fun during that event. This is one thing I love about Germany. Germans love to party and to celebrate especially when it is a part of their culture and tradition.

most of the participants in this group were already drunk..at least they had fun also. see the beers they are holding in their hands?

My First Visit in Vienna, Austria

It is almost five years now since I visited Vienna, Austria. It was quite an adventure for me because it was my first time to have a long trip travelling with a train. Thanks to my friend and travel companion from England who was with me that time or else I won't be travelling alone with a train. Now I can already go anywhere in the world travelling in any transportation with or without companion.

As we arrived in Vienna last June 29, 2007, we put our backpacks in storage lockers located in the main train station of Vienna so that we can go around the city without heavy stuffs with us. It is really convenient and a good idea that most train stations in Europe especially in big cities have their storage lockers.

I can say that my first visit in Vienna, Austria was really a fantastic one. Last August 2011, I had another chance to see it again.

Help Save The Earth

I believed that we are very aware of what is happening to Our Mother Earth right now. We always hear over the news in radio, television, newspapers and most of all over the internet about the different calamities and catastrophes that is happening around the world. The earthquake and tsunami in Japan last March 2011, the mudslide in some parts of Philippines last December 2011, the flood in Australia and other parts of the world, these are only some of the natural calamities that is hitting the world now.

Due to this, we need to slowly think and learn how to save our Mother Nature. That is also the reason why every year we are celebrating Earth Day every month of April. As inhabitants of this earth, we can help in our own little and simple ways on how to conserve and take care of Mother Earth. By not wasting water, turning on the lights when not needed, walk some meters instead of driving a car, are only some of the little things that we can do to help save our earth. In terms of technology, we can also use energy-saving appliances or equipments.

It is still not too late! We need to think of the future generations. By taking care of our earth, for sure it is and will always be a wonderful place to live-in. I encourage everyone to join our Earth Day celebration on April 22, 2012. Thanks everyone!

Watching Elton John's Red Piano Concert in Vegas

Watching one of the most famous performers and entertainers in the world is an exciting experience. It is almost four years now since I watched the famous Red Piano Concert of Elton John. It is held inside the Colosseum in Caesars Palace Hotel in Las Vegas Strip, Nevada. Don't ask me guys if Elton John was using a martin guitar in his concert. All I know was, he did performed very well during that concert. I had fun and I truly enjoyed it.

Here is an image taken when we watched that concert last June 2008. I wish to see it again.

Visit to Pamukkale, Turkey

I thought I can only see images of Pamukkale in Turkey in the internet or in a postcard. I was so happy that we had a short stop-over here during our trip to Turkey last September 2011. It is not really included in our itinerary but since we will also be passing it on our way to Izmir, our tourist guide allowed us to have a short stop.

This amazing beauty and wonder of nature is awesome. I believed there is not even one hydraulic power unit in this area. I am wondering what is the source of power and electric there. For all you know, this natural beauty is included in the list of the World Heritage Site since 1988. Lastly, you might wonder what does Pamukkale means? It is a Turkish word which simply means "cotton castle". Truly interesting!
