Hoover Dam in Nevada, USA

Good day folks! It seems that yesterday was April but we are all now in the month of May. It is currently raining in our place which make the weather a bit cold. My garden is happy again to have some fresh rainwater. I am not happy because the snails are also eating the leaves of my plants and flowers. I just can't stop them. I hope to go to the garden center this week to stop these snails.

Here are two pictures I took from Hoover Dam taken during my vacation to the United States two years ago. This is an amazing work of engineering and architecture! Respect to the engineers, workers, planners and supporters of this huge dam.
Hoover Dam, once known as Boulder Dam, is a concrete arch-gravity dam in the Black Canyon of the Colorado River, on the border between the U.S. states of Arizona and Nevada. When completed in 1936, it was both the world's largest hydroelectric power generating station and the world's largest concrete structure. It was surpassed in both these respects by the Grand Coulee Dam in 1945. It is currently the world's 38th-largest hydroelectric generating station.

Inambakan Falls in Cebu Province, Philippines

Inambakan Falls is located in Ginatilan in the province of Cebu, Philippines. We had an adventure in this place because we really don't know where is the right way to go there but we finally found it. It was a very nice place specially the big waterfalls which they said is around 30 meters high. I was impressed during our visit last Feb. 2010.
The picture above is one of the small falls in Inambakan.

The picture below is a big waterfall. I just took a photo on part of it where the basin can be seen. It is a very nice place to go on picnic or simply visit for relaxing and sightseeing.

This fountain in front of Manila Cathedral has a bronze monument of Spain's Carlos IV which is said to be erected in 1824. This fountain is located in the formerly called Plaza mayor but since 1961, it is named Plaza de Roma honor the Sacred College of Cardinals in Rome following the elevation of the first Filipino cardinal, Rufino J. Santos.

This was taken during my vacation in the Philippines last January 2010.

Fishermen Catching Fishes

What a wonderful day we had today! The sun was shining the whole day and the blue sky is very nice to stare at. It's like the blue sea you see below. Here is a picture of the fishermen catching fishes on the sea. This was taken in Cebu, Philippines.
