Wish to Watch A Concert This Holiday Season

Someone asked me what I want this coming holiday season. Well, that is a very good idea asking me what I want. I want some things but I don't want to spend money in things that I really don't need. I would love to have something quite unique this Christmas.

This week, I received a pamphlet stating a lot of concerts and shows this Christmas season near our area especially in the nearby big city. I would love to watch a concert where famous musicians or entertainers perform. I would love to especially see performers playing musical instruments. While thinking of this, I can't imagine one of them might get their stagg drum at musicians friend. It is quite a good choice if they shop their instruments and gadgets in this famous online music  store.

Last year, I did able to watch a choir performance singing all Christmas songs in the church. There was no entrance fee required but you can give donations if you want to.  I hope,  I can do it again this year if I cannot really watch a concert. Wish me luck!

I Love This Festival In Regensburg

Regensburg Dultfest.
I  was thinking  awhile ago how many times did I already visited this festival. The Regensburg Dultfest is one of the first big fairs in  Bavaria, Germany.  It is like a little Oktoberfest but more family-friendly. This is one of the many festival in Germany  where I visited most of the times.

One of the things I like when I go to festivals like this is to listen to their live band in a  so-called fest tent  or festival tent.  I already love to listen  to Bavarian folk songs. Maybe some of these musicians are using  yamaha standard trumpet mouthpiece. I always see  them  perform on stage using trumpets, guitars, piano, drums  and other kinds of music instruments.

I don't usually drink beer but I love going inside the beer tents to hear  the beating of the drums and the music played by the live bands.

If you are visiting Germany take the chance to visit some of  its festival to experience German culture. I have here an image from the Regensburg Dultfest during our visit last  year.

Fasching, Carnival Photos from Germany

Fasching, Karneval, carnival!  I believed you  know what these words mean. Other countries  celebrate the same festival almost the same way. I witnessed some of it in the towns of Bavaria, Germany.  I always love watching this festival and hope next time, I can already witness the big ones like in Cologne, Dusseldorf and Mainz.

Here are some of the carnival photos I took from last year's carnival parade.

The Musical Fountain of Bellagio

The Fountains of Bellagio in Las Vegas.
Are you visiting Las Vegas? If you do, don't miss the famous free show in front of Bellagio. The so-called Fountains of Bellagio is a choreographed water feature with performances set to light and music.

I always love watching this spectacular show when I visit Las Vegas. I am always amazed everytime I watch it.

There are a lot of shows and entertainments to see and enjoy in this city. You also witness live performers on the street. If you cross this bridge between Caesars Palace and Bellagio, you can see a lot of singers performing live on their own. I guess some got their relic guitars at Musicians friend. I give some tips sometimes especially when I see that the singer performing has really great voice.

Visiting Las Vegas is truly an enjoyable one considering all the entertainments you can experience there. I believed I am one of the lucky ones who was able to visit the "World's Gaming and Entertainment Capital." Not only once but for the second time already. I love Las Vegas!

My Sort of Entertainment and Relaxation

Everyone needs to unwind and relax from time to time. This is true especially if you work 8 hours or more in a day and 5-days a week. To forget your daily work routine, some might be going for a weekend trip, a night in a bar talking with friends while sitting on  comfortable  bar stools. Some would love to simply stay at home and watch Television or spend the weekend with the whole family. Others might go for a dine-out. Whatever it is, all of us simply need a form of relaxation and entertainment.

If you have to ask me what I do during my free time? I also have a sort of entertainment and relaxation. I don't have a full time job but being a blogger and freelancer, I also need a time to deviate myself away in front of my computer and from  daily household chores. Anyway, I love sitting on my swiveled chair while in front of my pc while browsing online.

A bar restaurant where we go for dine-out sometimes.
Last Saturday, my friend called me if I want to go with her in a bar restaurant. Actually she has been inviting me since two weeks ago. She mentioned that this place is new and she just wants me to go with her and some friends so that we can unwind for awhile. That is quite a good idea besides I seldom go in places like that.  I am also curious on how it looks inside, the arrangement they have, the entertainment they offer, the kind of drinks and beverages they have for customers and also the furniture they use such as tables and chairs or how their bar lounge look like. Sad to say, we did not made it because it was snowing continuously that Saturday night. I don't want to drive without having winter tires yet in my car. Oh well, we can probably plan it again anytime soon. Spending time with friends can be fun and relaxing too!

Shopping is entertainment. Anyone who disagrees with this? I believed not the ladies out there! I heard a lot from my friends that if they get bored, they go shopping. Many of my friends agreed that their boredom is gone after they go shopping. This is true especially  if they got what they want after shopping. Right ladies? This works for me too! Gallivanting in a mall is sometimes a good way of entertainment  especially for most ladies out there.

Going to a short or long trips- This is one of the best entertainment for me. I simply love to travel and it is really one of my passions. I am still counting for many places to see.

Watching television or movie is also one of my fave things to do. Dining-out with family or friends is also a good way  to unwind.

There are still other forms of relaxation on entertainment. Whatever things that make you happy as long as it is right, I would say, go for it!

I Love The Fountains of Bellagio

This is one of the shows  I love in Las Vegas, the Fountains of Bellagio. It is located in front of the Bellagio Hotel and you can watch it for free. It is visible from the street and you can watch it in any neighboring structures. The shows takes place every 30 minutes in the afternoons and early evenings. Starting 8:00 P.M. to midnight, it starts every 15 minutes.

Don't miss watching it when you are in Las Vegas.

Watching Flamenco Dance in Albayzin, Spain

It was a wonderful night..not a so-cold winter weather during December. We had a night sightseeing on the narrow winding streets of this previously Medieval Moorish place. El Albayzin, also known as El Albaicín, it is a district in Granada in the region of Andalusia, Spain.

You can have a very nice view of Alhambra from the viewing point by the church of San Nicolas. It was truly spectacular! After that sightseeing, we proceeded to watch a flamenco show in this area.

Flamenco which is a famous dance in Andalusia, Spain is noted for its energetic, staccato style..and I did witnessed it during that night show. We did enjoyed it much. We had a glass of wine while watching it which made me more classy. I guess that Flamenco Show in Tablao Flamenco Albayzín was the highlight of our trip that night.

A dancer performing Flamenco in Albayzin. We watched it during our Andalusia trip last December 2011. I miss that region of Spain.

On November 16, 2010, UNESCO declared Flamenco one of the Masterpieces of the Oral and Intangible Heritage of Humanity.

Watching Elton John's Red Piano Concert in Vegas

Watching one of the most famous performers and entertainers in the world is an exciting experience. It is almost four years now since I watched the famous Red Piano Concert of Elton John. It is held inside the Colosseum in Caesars Palace Hotel in Las Vegas Strip, Nevada. Don't ask me guys if Elton John was using a martin guitar in his concert. All I know was, he did performed very well during that concert. I had fun and I truly enjoyed it.

Here is an image taken when we watched that concert last June 2008. I wish to see it again.

Hubby Loves Watching TV

Good morning to all! Another week is here! I was thinking if this week is already the last week of November but it's not. I am not in a hurry for the coming holiday season but only thinking of the time that flies so fast.

Back to the main topic-Hubby is not quite happy with the TV programs we are having right now. This is especially true because one of his favorite TV channel can't be viewed anymore since we have a new LCD Television. He wants to buy a satellite receiver and hd antennas outdoor to have more TV channels. He just love watching TV especially during the night before he goes to sleep. This is his form of relaxation and he is already contented with it. I also hope that we can have more channels next month. I am slowly signing-off. I wish you all a wonderful week!

Paradise Pier, Disneyland, California

Paradise Pier is a themed "land" at Disney's California Adventure Park, Disneyland's sister park. Its appearance is based on that of real California boardwalks. Despite its name and the presence of a nearby manmade lake, Paradise Pier is not actually a pier, but merely a waterside area of the park. The roller coaster California Screamin' sprawls across much of it, with various other attractions and forms of entertainment scattered around it.

Here is an image taken during our visit last 2008.

German American Festival in Hohenfels, Bavaria

Every year the US Army base in Hohenfels is inviting all German people to come and celebrate with them the so-called German American Volksfest. It is a kind of festival that is celebrated every month-end of April until the first week of May. Sometimes it last for a week but I think this year, it only last for five days. It is always a lot of fun visiting festivals like this! I love it! I also rode in that ferris wheel as we went there. This is my MYM post! take care everyone!
