Halloween Time!

Halloween (or Hallowe’en) is aholiday celebrated on October 31. Halloween activities include trick-or-treating, ghost tours, bonfires, costume parties, visiting haunted attractions, carving jack-o'-lanterns, reading scary stories, and watching horror movies. Irish and Scottish immigrants carried versions of the tradition to North America in the nineteenth century. Other western countries embraced the holiday in the late twentieth century. Halloween is celebrated in several countries of the Western world, most commonly in the United States, Canada, Ireland, Puerto Rico, Japan, Australia, the United Kingdom, and at times in parts of New Zealand.

It's freezing Cold Again!!

Germany is getting very cold again. I told lately my husband that the weather is getting nasty also..It is always raining now and next time it might be snowing too. The nice summer time is finally over. Now it is gray outside since the sun did not came out. Yesterday the weather was very nice with sunshine and blue sky. The time is also adjusted one hour earlier this morning. 3AM is now 2 AM. Since it is very cold now, I might need an electric blanket! What do you think my friends!!

Remembering My Childhood Days!

It is nice to remember sometimes our childhood memories. We might not have all the toys, cellphones and computers during our childhood days but we had a great time playing with other children in the neighborhood. The favorite games we used to play are hide and seek, "tumba lata" (hitting a can with a sleeper), sliding down the hill with banana pulps and a lot more. One thing I was really amazed before was when I am playing magnets. I was just so curious at that time when small metals like nails, hair clips, etc are attracted to magnet. My curiousity was answered when I attended the school..It is childhood curiousity anyway besides it is always a part of our livese..Looking for true magnets? Five years of Togetherness

Five years being married!! Time is really running quickly. Imagine I am already married to my ex boyfriend? It is because he is my husband now! that's why I call him my ex boyfriend. I could still remember the first time I stepped in Germany, that was July 8, 2003. After all the papers were process, we got married on October 21, 2008. My first marriage and hoping to be the last in my life!! in God's will!! what else I am looking for!! I have a very wonderful, kind and very understanding husband. I really did not remember that we had a bad and big argument for 5 years of being together. I am happy with my married life..Life might not be perfect but at least, we succeeded in being together for 5 years.. and we both believed that we can do it until the end..It is just a matter of give and take..a matter of mutuality, love, understanding and respect. and I believed you will succeed in your married life too!!
After my husband' work, we decided to go out for dinner to one of my favorite restaurant in Velburg. It is a Greek restaurant and I really love the food there. ..(forget my diet again...who's on diet anyway!! hehehe!!) While waiting for our orders, we chatted with each other, the life and experiences that we had being together for more than five years..and we both said to each other..Success!! We keep on hoping and praying that God will give us more days in our lives to be together..My hubby even wished and mentioned another 50 years!! uy lola na jud ko ana!! Today is again a very memorable day!! Cheers!!

As usual, during weekend, I usually go walking with my hubby. We woke-up late this morning..ate our breakfast together and chatted a little bit while eating..I just don't want to disturb my husband when he read his newspaper in the morning. I cooked some Snitzel which is like a breaded pork..My husband said, it taste very good..see that photos...hmm...yummy!! After we ate, we decided to go walking to breath some fresh air!! The day ended beautifully!! Happy weekend to all!!

Honestly speaking, I got a flawless face before!! wink..see my photo in my header here!! You don;t see any single pimples or acne on my face. My acne problem just started as I live overseas. NEW ORLEANS (UPI) -- U.S. scientists say they've discovered evidence termites might have been to blame for the failure of some New Orleans dikes during Hurricane Katrina.

Louisiana State University Professor Gregg Henderson says he discovered Formosan subterranean termites (Coptotermes formosanus Shiraki) in the floodwall seams of some New Orleans dikes five years before Katrina struck.

After the dikes were breached in 2005, Henderson and colleague Alan Morgan inspected 100 seams for evidence of termites where major floodwall breaks had occurred. They said they discovered 70 percent of the seams in the city's London Avenue Canal, which experienced two major breaks during Katrina, showed evidence of insect attack, as did 27 percent of seams inspected in the walls of the 17th Street Canal.

Henderson said the termites might have contributed to the destruction of the levees in New Orleans by digging networks of tunnels, which can weaken the levee system.

"I believe the termites pose a continuing danger that requires immediate attention," Henderson wrote, suggesting New Orleans' 350 miles of levees and floodwalls should be surveyed for termite damage.

The researchers detail their findings in the fall issue of the journal American Entomologist.

Forgot to Fix Our Faucets

I know my husband have a lot of things to fix in our house. As he had his vacation last month, he should fix a lot of things in our house. But since he studied for his driving training and exam, he forgot to fix and change our bathroom faucets. At least he made some new paints in our small hallway and in the kitchen too. My hubby is really very hard working. All plumbing and electrical stuffs that needs to be repaired inside our house, he fixed it all. Speaking of faucets.. My Husband Got His New Hazardous Drivers License

My husband took a two weeks vacation last Month to study for the training and examination of the Renewal of his Professional Hazardous Drivers License. He has been telling me that ther are already a lot of new rules with regards to Hazardous Driving. With this driving license, he can drive trucks and all kinds of vehicles that carry hazardous material. I know my husband deserved to have the renewal of his Drivers License because he prepared and studied a lot before the training and examination came. He said that, it was tougher now because they have an actual driving of a big truck. He was very happy because he passed all the actual and written exam but he was also sad because two persons did not made it. Are you interested of becoming a Professional Truck Driver? Battling With Myself

I chatted with my Sister from Las Vegas last Monday. I was happy to hear from her again after not chatting for more than a month. One problem is the time difference we have from each other. I'm Excited About My Incoming Escapades

I already booked a trip ticket to United Kingdom on the last week of this month. Yesterday I received a call from some far away friends and one is from UK who will be coming with me in my escapades. I also hope to see more friends there like my classmates before in high school and college and also my other close friends who are already living and working there. My other friend told me that we will fly to Barcelona in Spain, Rome, some cities in United Kingdom and any other cities in Europe. I am really very excited. I also want to visit Algarve in Portugal. It is one of the most visited place in Portugal. How are you doing guys? Time passes by so quickly. I forgot to greet you about the second Ber month. It's the first week of October now. I am sending again a balikbayan box this month to my family back home. Conversation With a Friend

I had a conversation with a friend from United Kingdom last Friday through Yahoo Messenger. Thanks to this yahoo free service anyway. I have not seen this friend of mine ever since I left my home town. We were talking about the fun we had before back in the school days. I also mentioned to her that I will be coming to United Kingdom at the last week of this month. She told me that I am always welcome to her apartment. She also want to have some days off when I come there so we can also see more friends working and living in the UK. I told her that is a cool idea!! Before anything else, I went downstairs tonight to watch TV because my husband said that the keyboard computer is so loud that he can't sleep so fast. I decided to go down then. An extension cable fell-down at the back of the TV and I have a hard time getting it. I guess having a tv lift cabinet is a good idea. What do you think..I really need to sign off now!!
